+ Compact Design

- The gap between grating discs and lid is too large - large, ungrated pieces of veg, end up in the bowl. The juice extractor becomes seriouslyout of balance after only a single piece of fruit is fed in to the machine - it shakes itself violently and walks across the worktop, necessitating a strip down & clean before adding the second piece of fruit....When using the mini bowl & knife, excessive clearnace between lid and mini bowl causes contents to partially spill over into larger bowl - this amchines neds to be at least twice the weight - like the magimix models, good, solid and heavy....If I had the choice again I would have spent the extra £50 and opted for the Magimix

+ The range of peices that do so many different jobs is extensive. I haven't tried them all yet but it certainly seems to have been well thought through and designed from long experience. The build quality is reasonable and seems robust.

- You will need to thoroughly read the manual and probably have it close by for future reference. There are so many peices and uses it would not be suitable for people who don't want to think. You will need a fair area of space to contain all the attachments. They ought to supply a white box 12" cube shaped to place next to the main machine - thats what you will need.

+ Once you've mastered all the components it's a very practical, easy to use, good looking machine. The in-built weighing scale is brilliant and in the main it chops, slices, juices, blends etc very quietly and very well.

- Very easy to turn the speed control to the pulse setting instead of turning it off. When removing the bowl, the detachable drive shaft falls out of the machine. The storage attachment carousel only holds about one quarter of attachments.

+ Easy to keep out on the side, therefore is used more often. All attachments easy to store and use.

- The graters are not as wide as the bowl, therefore, food often falls off the edge and doesn't get gtrated.

+ the variety of functions- the built in scales! the chrome finish ,easy to clean
especially having the blender option in glass for smoothies and ice alongside the food processor
i think it was the only machine available that offered all these fuctions in one machine for a good price.

- storage of parts is a bit awkward, could be a sleeker better design for parts and equipement storage

+ The different features on this machine is extensive and has obviously been thought through to cover every culinary eventuality. The built in scales are a great additional feature, and the machine is solid and very powerful.

- Although having all the different components is great, you will however have to take time to read the manual fully, and I expect will have to keep referring back to it. There is also the issue as to where you store all the different components. This hasn't been thought through in the design of the unit, and does result in finding a large box/storage area.
Please, please, be very careful when cleaning the blades as they are EXTREMELY sharp. I say this from experience....Ouch!

+ It does away with having scales on my worktop. The bowl is big enough to do a double mix for most cakes.

- The accessories do not all fit in the storage carousel, so I have to keep some in a seperate box. The assembled unit, ready for storage is rather tall- it won't fit under my cupboard. I would like a spare of some items that get used every time.

+ It has everything you could want including a centrifugal juicer, and liquidiser all incorporated into a a 20 x 20cm base. I use it on almost a daily basis. The scales are a good idea too.
Once you get to grips with locking the lid etc in place its "all systems go"
Robust and practical. No leaks from liquidiser

- Would like the feed tube to the juicer to be larger, and Ive marked the bases of the liquidiser and mill with a permanent marker to save any confusion. The loose spindles are a bit fiddly, but again necessary to provide all the functions .

- The pulse function is too easy to put on when one is actually wanting to stop the motor ie as you turn the knob anti-clockwise to turn off you can push it into the pulse function.
When cleaning you have to remember to check inside the blade holder where food can reach .

+ If you're after a machine that will cope with anything and everything then this should be your first choice. I've been an advocate of the Chef for years and this is my first processor and I have been very pleasantly surprised by its performance. It has the odd niggle, like losing large lumps of vegetable into the bowl during slicing and shredding and it took me an age to work out how exactly the lid fitted on so that the machine would work, but that's probably just processor-novice-hood.
I've beaten, whisked, mixed, sliced, shredded, smoothied etc etc. The results have been superb and in stark contrast to my old Chef the blender doesn't leak, which 2 new blenders on the Chef always did.
The only part I have yet to use is the mill, but even the teeny weeny processor bowl and blade produce impressive results - just right for smaller quantities.
Built-in weighing scales ? Inspired ! And with a separate tray to sit on top, useable for any weighing job, whether you are using the processor or not.
The footprint of the base unit is small enough to sit unobstrusively on the worktop.
Overall highly recommended, but bear in mind the only Bad Point outlined below.....

- The sheer volume of space required to store the accessories. The 'multi-store' I think they call it is nothing but a gimmick. It has allocated spaces for the slicing discs, but there are more discs than allocated space so it becomes just another bit to find space for. If you have a spare cupboard shelf for all the kit, use your own storage bins for the bits and go for it. Novice or experienced cook, this processor will have you rooting through cupboards and drawers to throw out now-redundant gadgets.

+ Extensive functionality
Compact footprint

- The central column that holds the Slicer/Shredder blades does not fit securly meaning the blades are not fixed solidly & move. The product you are slicing/shredding etc cannot cut a complete item - lots of wastage. The 'storage' solution offered on the product is not fit for purpose. You need a seperate container, at least 12" square, to hold all the attachments.

+ love the add and weigh function-very useful to have out ready to go on your worktop. small size, nice looking. Plenty of standard feature e.g, slicing grating as well as other ones such as citrus juicer and dough kneader. Very powerful.

- the mini bowl leaks when in use so you end up washing more parts, found the glass jug and grinder very difficult to unscrew and then equally difficult to correctly screw back( won't work unless you screw it really tight). The juicer can't really do more than a glass full as the weight of the pulp will send the whole machine off the worktop-you have to stop it after each second addition to empty the juicer of debris.
