+ It has a dedicated 78 rpm speed.
Phono and USB connectivity.
Plug-in headshells make it easy to change cartridge/stylus combinations.
Turntable has ample clearance to accept the odd shellac disc that is larger than 12 inches.
Overall sound quality is good with the cartridge supplied and with a cheap Numark for 78s.

- Haven't come across any.

+ Easy to set up and use. I bought a spare cartridge and stylus for 78rpm records. It was simple to change over to this. Works well either via USB to a PC or direct into a HiFi amplifier. It does exactly what I required of it.

- No means to adjust the volume of the output signal. This is not a major issue, but does mean that some records produce more output than others. Some 78's tend to be on the low side.
It is not clear that, to play 78 rpm's, not only have you to buy a different stylus, you also need a cartridge to take this stylus.

+ Easy to assemble and runs like a dream.
Great to have a quality turntable that has 78rpm on it, as occasionally I need to play some old shellack. .. I'm not too sure as to whether you can use the existing 'LP' stylus for this ? There is no info on the manual regarding the playing of old 78's...
As well as USB (lead supplied), you can use it as a normal HI FI unit, connecting with a standard RCA phono lead (supplied).
I like the built in pre-amp option, enabling it to be plugged into a tape/aux amp input.
With its blue light and silver finish... It looks pretty!

- Although 78rpm is a speed option, there is no info regarding stylus change. Maybe it is compatible with all discs?
Awkward setting up the counterwieght on the end of the arm, no clear instructions for this to set the pressure.

+ A great product for general home use. Good design, simple to use, does what you ask of it. The USB facility makes this deck literally plug 'n' play. Works perfectly with Apple Mac... which was essential to me.

- lack of lid - would be nice, to prevent dust build up and protect the deck when not in use.

+ almost everything - i planned to use it to convert my old vinyl to mp3, but have ended up playing them and looking for more! one of the best techno items I've ever bought!

- Power switch being at the back - we have to pull the deck out to use it as it is attached to a pc with loads of other multi media stuff so it's a bit awkward, but other than that it's great

+ It is easy and simple to use, it was bought for my brother who is a true technophobe to tranfer his jazz lp's onto his computer. he is having no trouble in operating it and has not had to bother me to help him which is good because I hate jazz music

- cant think of any off the top of my head

+ It has 3 speeds 33, 45 and 78 rpm. All connecting leads are provided. A CD disc containing the PC software was provided. Excellent performance using USB connection. Has a additional phono output so that it can be connected to a home stereo or mixer. The turntable arm has a counter balance weight that allows accurate stylus tracking weight. Two large stop/start buttons. An adapter is provided for 45s that have a large hole. There is a storage recess for the adapter. The stylus light that enables easy sight of the record in dark conditions. This is removable.

- Just two very minor bad points: It is not an automatic or semi automatic unit. The turntable keeps rotating until it is physically stopped.
