- Good points:
-
Super VHS at reduced price, 60% more resolution (recording) when in Super VHS mode. It also has (not verified) some form of TBC (Time Base Corrector). Rather important feature when playing back old tapes that may have not worked correctly due to tape damage (the damaged or corrupted Sync signal is replaced, allowing playback). And generally higher quality electronic signal processing. Generally speaking it should play back normal tapes with better quality then a normal VHS.
Also SVHS-ET techonology allows, SVHS recodings to be permitted on normal VHS tapes without the expense of bying SVHS tapes (most probably difficult to get hold of). Other features include variable frame rate (super slo-mo) and B.E.S.T picture playback and recording picture. - Bad points:
- Out dated technology, manufacture support rapidly diminising as products are no longer being made.
