+ Compact and fairly light

- Slow to power up
Auto focus often sluggish

+ The picture, build and sound quality are all excellent.

- On the camera you can link together different scenes to make a simgle playback list, however the PC software which comes with the camera doesn't recognise these playback lists so you can't just choose to commit a single playback list to the PC, instead you have to go through the process of selecting you scenes again on the PC.

+ Being able to burn all that is recorded directly onto a DVD is great

- Trying to find all the items in the menu was a bit difficult at first

+ This is a good all rounder, 40 GB HD is more than enough,Video images and color are very good,as are the photo's

- Battery life could be a bit better

+ Please note I bought this for my wife and her number one criteria was it must work in the stables where the lighting is poor - this was the only one I found with a wide aperture (at a price I was willing to pay!), and it does the job very well.

- Down side for me when I use it is that there is no viewfinder, but that was a "price" worth paying to get the wide aperture.

+ easy to use video, camra shots a little more tricky.. Battery life with the standard one is OK, but better with a bigger long lift battery.. images are good , and for the price you would struggle to get better.
