+ Excellent all round package, HTC build quality is terrific. Windows Mobile has loads of apps available, maybe not the best OS but very pervasive. This is my first WinMo device and I certainly won't be going back to Nokia S60. Works great as a SatNav device, simple WiFi configuration.

- Very battery hungry, but I use it more so I suppose its a feature of its success. No standard 3.5mm earphone jack like the Touch HD.

+ Probably the main contender to the iPhone - waited for this phone for 5 months and am pleased to say it was all worth it. Has everything you need for business, looks fantastic and has that all important 5 row qwerty keyboard. Superb!!

- None really

+ Touch screen, keyboard and MS office.

- The e-mail is eratic and you cannot rely on it to send e-mails with errors coming up all the time. Re-setting the email account doesn't help. Apparently there is a hotfix patch from Microsoft but the version of Windows Mobile 6.1 (version 6.1 "AUK") that comes with this phone through Orange is not compatible with it. It is a total dissapointment sine can't use it for sendin e-mails.

+ excellent and intuitive navigation. syncs perfectly with outlook and onenote. sound is great, commmunication is fantastic and 3d flo htc homescreen brings software to life.

- shame it only got a 3.1mp camera and no flash, but if it had the best camera this would be the perfect mobile, and other htc models would become redundant

+ Feels like your holding something of real quality of in your hand the weight is very reassuring and solid. looks good on the outside and TF3D software is stunning. the slide out keyboard feels great and the buttons are nicely spaced with well thoughtout FN key shortcuts. Tilt the screen up and it's like having the worlds smallest laptop in your palm. Easy to use from the outset and for people who like to have something to play with it's packed full of winmo depth. Conference calling is actually really quite handy after you've used it a few times i think i'd like it on every phone, aswell as call waiting and hold the ability to field multiple callers is again something i couldnt give up from now on. I like the fact it hasnt gone down the capacitive screen route so for that little extra touch screen accuracy a fingernail can be used to good effect, something i am often annoyed about on a certain other popular touch screen phone. This isnt a smartphone it's a pocket PC with phone capabilities, keep this in mind and it's an amazing little device to have in your pocket.

- Theme customization, while possible is not an easy task for anyone and for anyone looking for a phone/mp3 player the lack of a headphone jack would be annoying. Limited storage capacity without a microSD card

+ The amount of features available at your finger tips is amazing. The phone is gorgeous and the screen is huge and responsive. They keyboard is large enough for easy use and the touch flo interface (If using windows mobile 6.5 along with Manilla 2.5 is quick and smooth allowing easy access to the main features.

- The only downsides to the phone are the battery life and the location of the power button. Battery life affects all powerfull mobiles so thats to be expected. But the power button easily gets pressed when using the keyboard.

+ It is like having a tiny PC with me. GPS and Google Maps are excellent. Being able to use a web browser for checking on things has been more handy that I would have thought - especially yell.com's WAP pages.
I primarily wanted it for push email, but it offers far more... very unusually, I rarely use the keyboard, as I can quickly use the touch-screen QWERTY keyboard with my big stumpy fingers; this was a surprise, as I thought I would need to use the slide-out keyboard far more often that I actually do!!!

- Very poor battery life. I cannot really use push email because I need to conserver power.
No ability to use multiple Exchange accounts, so I use one as Exchange Server and another as IMAP.
It is virtually impossible to flick scroll with fingers, as they often are misinterpreted as meaning 'open', so the stylus is a must for scrolling through things like contact lists and email items. The iPhone seems far better.
It is very heavy, as well as being very expensive.

+ It looks nice, and i like the zoom for browsing the internet pages

- This is NOT a user friendly phone!!! I hate the touchscreen on this the finger touch recognition is no where close to as good as the ipod touch i have, if the ipod touch were to be used as a base mark of 5, i'd give the htc a 0.5. Although the touch screen is ok with the pointing pen.

Manufacturer's Description

Business success depends on human interaction. You can often get more done with a quick phone call or a face to face meeting than you can in strings of emails. So why do all business phones seem to ignore the importance of calls? The Touch Pro2 treats your calls with as much care and attention as your messages.

Straight Talk™
HTC’s Straight Talk makes communication more natural, intuitive and effective. It is a way to seamlessly transit from email to a single or multi-party calls as well as a flawless means to complete conference bridge calls. The innovation is completed by dual microphone and speakers that turn your mobile into a professional quality speakerphone by the simple action of placing your phone face down on the table.

Speak Out When It Matters
Sometimes your opinion needs to be read, but sometimes it demands to be heard. The Touch Pro2 is equipped with a spacious keyboard that makes it breeze to get your message out. But when written word is not enough, it only takes one touch to respond to an email with the urgency of a phone call.

Get all the key stakeholders involved. If they were in on the email, then simply tap next to their image icon to get them in on the call. The HTC Touch Pro2 helps make it easy to share your ideas with all the people that matter.

Speakerphone Innovation
Nothing ruins a conference call faster than not being able to hear what is said, or make yourself heard. The HTC Touch Pro2 puts crystal-clear sound quality and voice reception at the core of its design. In fact, it is a palm-size professional conference phone with a loudspeaker and dedicated noise-cancelling microphone that delivers superior quality conference calls.

Conference Calls … Made Easy
