Joe, Bury Style and looks come first

Score 8.0/10
Good points:
Beautiful phone, lovely brights and detailed screen.
Amazing features - loads of processing power, great touchscreen, fantastic camera.
Thin and light to hold.
Bad points:
Relatively poor battery life, I need JuiceDefender to make it last more than 24-36 hours.
Difficult to use at first (though this is my first Android phone), and major software updates don't help.

Really happy with this phone, everything is excellent. People said problems with battery but I think its fine considering what I use on the phone the battery doesn't go down too quick. Feels great in your hand, love HTC!

Barry, Tonbridge Music and entertainment lover

Score 9.0/10
Good points:
Smooth and slick in operation. By no stretch of imagination is the handset "too large". Screen display is superb. A top-notch piece of equipment- reason why I stayed with HTC after having Desire (a wonderful,if smaller, mobile.)
Bad points:
Takes a while ---and downloaded user manual --to set up everything as you would like it. Disappointing to find that maps and navigation require subscription . Occasional problem with distance sensor ---- screen goes blank after dialling and putting to your ear and then fails to come on again so you can end call Have to switch on again to recover screen and "end call" button so you can be sure other party has terminated call. This fault is intermittent - and particularly annoying if the call requires (say) numbers to be entered.

Francois , Holmes Chapel Business or web user

Score 9.0/10
Good points:
Fantastic phone, fantastic quality build. Light and not as "huge" as I thought it would be.
The HTC sense skin is really good, much less cluttered than the Samsung offering. More true to the intentions of pure Android.
The One X is very fast, lots RAM and the 32Gb is big enough for loads of apps and photos and music.

I like my new phone. Even better than the HTC Desire I had for the last three years.
Bad points:
Yes, the battery does not last very long. If you use it as a phone you can easily get a day and a bit from the battery before it needs a charge. If you use it as a modern smartphone then be prepared to charge halfway through each day. I purchased a Kidigi car charger on Amazon. It has the proper cradle/holder like HTC offers and keeps the phone nicely charged on your commute while listening to music or podcasts or using Google Maps; as I do. It is then still fully charged when I arrive the other end.
