Good points:
It does almost everything I need a phone, camera, organiser to do! I bought a silicone glove for it as the aluminium body is a tad slippery. Screen is great although the touch can be a bit sensitive. HD video is excellent and by far the best I've seen on a mobile. The Android Apps are really very good, still exploring them as I've only had the phone a few days. As a result of the phone being new, the battery is frequently on charge due to playing with the features. I did install an app killer as I found loads of apps running in the background when I thought they were closed. Definately one for the Technophile.
Bad points:
I can't believe they put this on the market at this level without voice activated dialling!
You can't make the phone discoverable for more than 2 minutes and as such I've been having problems with it working on the car bluetooth. The phone goes to sleep and makes the bluetooth unit in the car constantly restart and reconnect.
Battery life looks to be no better than I'd expect from a piece of kit doing what this does. They would be better fitting it with a larger battery.

Good points:
Think of this as a way to constantly update your profile and it will disappoint. As a phone it is superb. As a mini-tablet it is excellent, but if you want a laptop with a never ending battery, then dream on. This device is seriously easy to use. Intuitive is a bridge too far for some, but if you can operate a pc, then you'll have no trouble with this. Battery life can be a pain, but within a couple of days you'll have decided what you need and disabled the rest, so no problems. I've just bought it, so I obviously love it.
Bad points:
Want something as light as a feather, lasts two or three days on a charge and makes you look interesting? Forget this phone! It'll last a day (max) with automatic updates turned off, and not always update wi-fi hotspots unless you restart the device. Other than that, buy it!!!

Good points:
Just upgraded from a Blackberry Bold 9700 on Orange (which I had changed FIVE times during 18months due to various faults) so thought I would have a change and after discounting the Samsung Galaxy as too plasticky with no flash and the Nokia N8 as OS system outdated read all the reviews and went for the big boy of phones, the HTC Desire HD. WOW what a phone, awesome! incredibly fast, packed full of useful features and gadgets, Camera - Great, Email-Good (not as fast as Blackberry), SMS - Greatish, other features brilliant. Dont see the point of putting on Facebook and Facebook Sense ditto Twitter, just makes it unnecessarily complicated to use. Screen is brilliant very responsive and very fast. Like the location widget where you hit "Coffee" button and it shows you where to get a coffee! great for a coffee addict like me. I use this for business and I like the fact emails are so much easier to read on the HTC than the Blackberry and you can change the text size if your eye sight is not that brilliant. Overall very satisfied, even with the battery life! those that complain about it probably have not set it up properly, I have no problem with it at all
Bad points:
Instructions in box are rubbish and assume you know how to set it up, go on to the HTC site and download the 270 page (yes, 270 page) manual (which is also pre loaded on phone). And read it through, better still watch the videos. Now for Bad points- Why oh why cant you change the text size in SMS messaging but you can e mail, the SMS text is far, far to small on a machine this size and really lets this down. Notifications - Are ok but I cant see any way to add your own notifications to SMS but you can to ring tones/email. I wanted to transfer some personal ones from my Blackberry onto the SD card but cant see how you do it. The HTC site shows you how to transfer music, photos etc but there is nothing about notifications. My battery life seems pretty good, I dont know what all the fuss is about, check your settings!

Good points:
Excellent screen, fast internet ovwer both wifi and g3, relatively straight forward to use, stylish, addtion of a 8gb micro SD a bonus and I can expand if needed. Transferring contacts very easy via wizard and music was just drag and drop from my laptop. Overall a great package and a great alternative to an iphone.
Bad points:
Battery life not brillant as everyone has pointed out but I have a dock at home, can link it to my laptop to charge and use car adapter. Major problem though if I didn't have these options. My major bug is that Android appears not to support adding proxy information so I am unable to use the wifi at the office, this was a total surprise to me! Fingers crossed it's added in 2.3! Not the best situation if you want to keep your 3g data use low.
