- Poor scanning quality, especially from slides. But as this is what I primarily wanted this printer/scanner for I'm extremely disappointed and have resorted to using my separate scanner.

Set up with wireless router and two different laptops running XP and Vista was painless.
Excellent photo quality on both A4 and smaller sizes.
Very easy to make copies.
Print quality very good.

Scanning software not so easy to use.
Haven't worked out how to print envelopes yet.
Some non-HP photo paper won't feed.

This fully-fledged all-in-one printer costs nearly three times as much to buy as the HP D7260 but features exactly the same line-up of cartridges, offering a pigment and dye-based ink combination suitable for both document printing and photo output. Suffice it to say that print quality and speed proved exactly the same in both cases, with the same reservations - that of a small amount of inaccuracy in dark tones. Notable extras include a capable 9600dpi scanner built into the top of the printer, which enables scanning and photocopying via the same touch-screen interface as the D7260.…
