Score 10.0/10+ Excellent design - good size screen, without being too small - comfortable keyboard - light enough to carry out
- Battery last about 3 hours - but does charge up quickly

Score 9.0/10+ A really great machine. I prefer the DV3's more compact 13inch wide screen format which for me offers the best balance between dispaly performance requirements and 'luggability'. The Dual Core offers great performance and the 4GB of RAM, which can be upgraded to 8GB, is ideal. A couple of nice surprises were the e-Sata port and the inbuilt card reader which supports multiple formats in one slot (including SD and XD). I installed Windows 7 64 bit (flattening the supplied Vista install which is a bit of a shambles) and loaded on just about every conceivable piece of software I need. (Visual Studio 2005 and 2008, MS Virtual PC, VMWare workstation, MS Office, Adobe aka MacroMedia Studio suite and much more and it still flies.
- Very few. The auto build Vista install is a complete mess (I suspect that many units were returned and recon'd because of this...ooops I didn't say that). The only other thing would have been VT (Virtual Technology) supprt at the BIOS level.
