+ The features on this laptop are fantastic. I mainly use it for design and web development, so I need to switch between programs quickly without any lag. This laptop does this whilst maintaining a HD resolution. The digital HD TV tuner is a nice bonus with crystal clear pictures. Some people may think the battery life on this is poor, though I think 1hr 30mins isnt that bad for a laptop of this performance and size. The keyboard keys are good quality as some of the other laptops out there have cheap quality feel to the keys. The smart remote control is very cool and works well.

- The reflectivity on the screen is terrible. If you intend to use this laptop outside whilst in the garden its a no. The normal day sunlight makes it impossible to view. Though I did talk to HP about this and they say and quote "I understand that you are experiencing difficulties using the glossy screen on your HP laptop. Actually all HP and Compaq notebooks offer HP’s exclusive BrightView technology. BrightView improves the contrast and clarity of your notebook display so colors are brighter and images come to life. The only downside to this technology is that under certain lighting conditions you might experience glare on your laptop. This problem is, in fact, not limited to HP's BrightView technology alone, but is equally prevalent in all the modern glossy screen technologies like Sony's Xbrite, Dell's TrueLife technology etc. Regarding the solution to the glare related difficulties you are facing at present, the only suggestion we can make is that you try to use some anti glare laptop screen filter. The following links will help you locate a couple of companies which sell these kind of filters" Though saying this my last laptop Sony Vaio FS285H I used to be able to work out in the garden with no problem of glare. Neverless its a great kit and definately recommend it for indoor use. Anyway who actually goes in the garden and works on the laptop :) Hope that helps prospective buyers!!

+ Great features, Nice useable keyboard with NumPad, Nice sound, well made and great display, Dedicated Graphics card, Web Cam, general spec for price is good.

- All the crap software that HP install on their laptops(but so do dell and others) But a simple reformat or unistall puts it back to noramal and gets rid of all the resource hogging rubbish.

+ Strong Performer - can operate several applications at once with ease - even in power save mode if there is not too much graphical work required. As powerful as many a desktop!
Nice screen
Fingerprint reader suprisingly good - never type my password anymore!
Plenty of ports and feature rich device

- The Vista OS is not the best but that's nothing to do with the laptop hardware
The wireless is not as well integrated and seemless as the rest of it - few issues with the intel 5100 wireless chipset - would be nicer if HP made a decent wireless front end than fall back to the Windows one (which is rubbish)
Battery Life - had to purchase a 12-cell battery to get better up time off the power supply
