Would prefer dished keys to flat keys. The mousepad seems to be over sensitive and the cursor moves randomly at times, when I am typing, I suspect purely because of the warmth of my hand hovering above it. Incidentally, I do not have hot sweaty hands!
I don't like Windows 8 at all - it's taking a lot of getting used to and I can see no real benefits over Windows 7. Insufficient basic information given about some applications, including Skype. I also had issues getting started setting up an email address that was different from the one I used to purchase the PC.

Quiet laptop (not got a really loud fan)
Finger scan improves security - Bad points:

Windows 8 - I am not someone who has issues with technology but it takes a long time to work out how to do even simple tasks like printing a document, or shutting down the computer. Also seems incomplete, feels like 2 operating systems in one as a lot of Windows 7 elements remain.
I have a lot of problems with internet connections, possibly to do with the metal design of the lid.
Can't see much of a difference between the i5 processor and the i3 which was on my old laptop.
Heavy laptop.
Don't hate the laptop - just don't feel it is worth what I paid, wish i'd gone for an asus laptop instead.
Battery life underwhelming, maybe get 2 hours before needing charging.

Score 9.0/10-I went on from using a 7 year old Toshiba so I don't know how this laptop compares to recent ones, but I've found it so fast and easy to use. It has 950 more GB than my last laptop!
-Windows 8 wasn't that bad to get used to at all, I only miss having a start button, and I never use the app interface, I just switch straight to desktop.
-The speakers are actually really good quality as well for a laptop.
-I think it's good for gaming, I have already tried one game that would've torn my previous laptop to pieces as it has very High Quality graphics but this one handles it perfectly with no need to change graphic settings at all.
- start up time is super quick!!
- Doesn't get that warm, air vents are conveniently on the side so you can have the whole laptop on a desk without worrying about overheating.
- It's pretty much ready to use 15 minutes after you switch it in for the very first time, nothing complicated needs doing when you first get this.
- Microsoft office 2003 (despite the official advice) is actually compatible and seems to work fine on windows 8
- Strong keyboard - no bend in the middle
- Stable base, doesn't wobble at all
-Umm truevision 'HD' webcam? It is bad quality, has little settings. Worse than a £5 2-year-old webcam I bought which is about 1 MP. I think you have to buy the actual full-version of webcam maybe to get better quality?
- Battery life isn't as good as it could be, also the charger that came with it is one of those that sticks out (isn't a corner shape). I'm worried if I drop the laptop (i pulled my old one a few times off my desk as I tripped up on the chords) this could easily bend and snap (like many of my old chargers) and damage the plug for the charger. You can avoid dropping/knocking your laptop, but if it DID happen then it wouldn't be good.
- Button for DVD/CD/DISK player small and difficult to press in.
