+ Next best useful item to the UV filter and better than the linear filter. Provide excellent damping down of the glare from water and glass. Gives good cloud definition.

Score 6.0/10+ The ability to make the blue of a blue sky stand out more and reduce reflections off water and other reflective surfaces.
- The polarising effect is not quite as strong as the previous filter which it replaces. This might be due to the fact that the old filter was used with a 35mm SLR and not a digital SLR camera which I'm currently using.

- It is a bit fiddly to attach to the adaptor on my digital (non SLR) camera but that is a problem of camera design.
