- Cycle end times are not accurate - i.e. 30 minutes on the washing machine is not 30 minutes by the clock. Also the washing machine is still very loud if run on the higher spin speeds

+ Easy to install although the outlet pipe was loose and needed to be clipped. The machine makes very little noise during the wash cycle and I'm very pleased with the wash results. The noise level is higher during the 1600 spin speed but this can only be expected. What is best is that the clothes are remarkably dry after the 1600 spin.

- Tried the reduced crease function but found that the clothes were much damper. When the timer states that there is 1 minute left until end, take this as 3.

+ Very quiet. Good selection of programmes. Lovely electric blue display. Quick wash only 30 mins. Full wash 1 hour 8 mins on full spin. Child lock is very useful with toddlers around!

- The only bad point (and this probably applies to all washing machines) is that you cannot child lock the door unless the machine is on a cycle.

+ The machine has a big load capacity and an equal ratio of washing to drying, which means you don't have to take any washing out to dry.

- Some of the temperatures will not allow you to do a half load if needed.

+ Love the digital display telling you remaining time on wash cycle - very handy. Is A energy rating and is also very quiet - what a difference when on a spin cycle to the old machine.

+ Really quiet is the biggest plus.The 1600 spin speed is excellent....and its very nice to have such a big wash load.

- I need the booklet with me to check wash progarmme options...although I am getting better!I will never use all the programmes avaliable but perhaps some people would.If you make a mistake with the programme the cancel option is not really immediate and you lose any washing liquid you have added.

+ Although most appliances are complex these days. The hotpoint alows me to wash at 40 or 60 degrees with a full spin speed of 1300. Very useful for those wet winter days when drying outdoors is not possible

- Door constatly swings shut and the fabric softener drawer compartment doesn't always empty. The drawer also keeps growing black mould despite drying it out.

+ Good product. Does what it says. A little difficult to programme at first but once you get used to it really simple to use. Like the time display and the time delay. Great spin at 1600rpm.

+ Very quiet, 5 year Hotpoint parts warranty so no need for extra product cover. My sister has a similar Hotpoint and this is what persuaded me to this model - I heard hers on a spin cycle and it was sooo quiet.

+ For a family, large capacity, fast spin speed, many many programs, even energy saving program for 30 degree wash. All controlled by computer logic - "soft" buttons and easy to operate. Very impressed.

- Only issue is that the quick wash does not do 1600 spin and cannot be changed. Have to do a separate spin cycle at 1600 spin speed if required.

- Too electronic...we had it for just over a month and then it broke down!! The electronic mother-board failed to communicate to the machine...therefore wouldn't do anything!!. Had to get an engineer out. He fixed it fine and is working all good now (fingers crossed), however, we had to wait over a week for the engineer and considering we had just bought the machine (wasn't cheap!), not having it working meant alot of hassle and expensive with petrol, time & laundrette costs.

+ The machine has a good range of cycle options and is quite quiet in operation. A good feature is that it gives you the time left to the end of the cycle which is often very handy to know.

- None really, although I have found the on/off power button to be quite sensitive. The machine is positioned under a worktop and I have found when doing something on the worktop, I have accidentally leaned again the machine and have inadvertantly switch the machine on or off.

- | am very disappointed with my new washing machine. It is the first time i have purchased a cold fill washer and half the time it does not dissolve the detergent properly so the washload has to be done again, We are a family of 5 so it means i am doing a lot of extra washloads! Wash cycles also take a lot longer due to it being cold fill.

+ The child-lock function is very handy at doing what it says on the tin!

- Sometimes we find the machine does not clean as good as we had expected - baby clothes in particular.
