Hotpoint WT 761 reviews: Front Loading loading, 7kg capacity washing machine

+ When i first put the machine on i was amazed, i did not hear a sound except the water sloshing around with the clothes. It's the best machine i've ever had!!

+ the machine is great, really quiet and the 1600 spin means that the clothes are nearly dry when you take them out. It's great having the timer as well as this means if your in a rush you know whether to wait for the machine to finish or just go and empty it later

+ This machine gets stains out, its quiet, its very efficient. The high spin speed removes most of the moisture meaning that the drying time is much reduced. Easy to use. Excellent product!

+ this is the best machine ever! i love it because you can set any program and change the tempreture and spin speed to what you want.it is much quieter than my old machine and the clock on it tells you how long each load will take and counts down during the cycle so you know when it will finish, which is realy handy if you are going out and want to put it to dry before you go.

- the only bad thing i can think of is that sometimes i set the machine and forget to press start but this is only because my old machine was so noisy and this one dosent make much noise when you turn it on.

- the "uneven load" feature, where it doesnt spin if it things the load is uneven, is perhaps a little too clever for its own good as it doesnt warnyou that this has happened so, when you open the door, the washing is soaking wet and you dont know why unless youve been stood watching it

+ good wash times, programmes can be alterted i.e temp, spin speed!easy to load! love the timer function which telss you how long the wash will take and then how long the cycle has left!

- very disappointed that when we got some powder on the outside of the drawer and tried to wipe it off! the text on the drawer giving info about the cycles wiped off!!!!!!!!!1 very dissapointing

- The 30 degree wash cycle takes almost 2 hours which means families with lots of washing are unlikely to use it.

+ Very quiet machine. The 30 minute quick wash at 30 degrees works very well, and I tend to use this regulary.
Overall - very pleased with machine.

- 1. Not child proof. Very easy for children to press buttons.
2. Can easily lean against it and switch it on accidentally.
3. If switch off before door lock light is out - it does another complete cycle before able to open!

+ If it wasn't for the water in the drum sloshing around you wouldn't know it's working it's so quiet. It also saves on drying time in th etumble drier or on the line because the 1600 spin speed spins the clothes so dry it cuts down the drying time.

Clothes actually smell of the fabric softener after wash and when dry unlike the AEG I used to use.

+ I am very pleased with this product. The drum is huge and the washing comes out well spun. The door opens wide to make loading and emptying easier. Compared to my previous machine it is very quiet. Having timer option is great.

+ The machine itself is fantastic - a huge 7kg load is just what I was after with 2 youg kids and one on the way! The functions are very easy to use, all my washing has halved with the drum size, and the clothes come out lovely, and if you use the reduced creases function - hardly any ironing is needed either. It comes with features such as handwash, silk wash etc, which I find very useful for the kids and my very delicate items. It has a time left indicator which is handy, so that I can organise my washing. Overall - no complaints about this machine. I f you have a busy household, GET IT!

+ Very quiet when spinning, so quiet I had to keep checking it was on :-) excellent choice of programs, you can choose to do a short cycle (30mins) but then put it of for a fast spin (1600) at the end. It has choices for coloureds and delicates. Washes so much better and more efficient than my old Indecit (would never buy a an Indecit again)

+ it has a really quiet spin which means you can talk whilst it is spinning and still be heard. The large load size is probably the biggest plus for a busy working mum like myself

+ Quiet and easy to use. Many different wash programmes including a premium wool wash that is fantastic with non wool wash items.

- Wash cycle times can be quite long. Especially if you're trying to be environmently friendly and reducing temperature to 30c as this wash takes 2 hours.

+ Basically, all I want in a washing machine is hot, cold and warm wash, on/off and spin dry and a large quiet drum. Nothing digital, complicated or time-consuming and this Hotpoint appliance fits the bill. I have only ever had Hotpoint since I've been married.

- The new hose was not as long as the old one and did not reach to the water pipe so therefore we are still using the old hose. Some of the programmes seem to take longer than the old Hotpoint machine I had.

+ A lovely machine, very quiet It cleans really well, very impressed with the choice of cycles. It looks fab. Has cut the amount of washes right down, I did find that I was searching round the house to fill the load! I did have a 4kg machine, and found that I always seemed to have washing to do, this one is 7kg, perfect for a family of four upwards. Would definately recommend.

- When it's on full spin, it does make quite a noise. Other than that, perfect!
