- cycle times are too long and the noise is very loud when draining etc. All so hard to pick cycles for the cycle program on clothes labels

should have hot and cold feeds as the cost of heating the water adds to the running cost when I have water in my house 24/7 heated by oil.
2. the door control lock sounds very flimsy and if anything goes wrong with this m/c I expect it to be the door interlock mechanism.

+ Its attractive to look at, quiet and appears to be extremely efficient!

Off switch on front so can turn off between uses.
LEDs display the stage of the wash cycle clearly.
Easy to do a spin only or a rinse/drain only.
Easy top set wash cycle - dial easily turns clockwise and anticlockwise so easy to select a program.

- The temp and the speed dials are ever so slightly plasticy/cheep looking. Would prefer digital controls but not worth the extra money - functions perfectly and so far good build quality.

+ Ability to stop/pause cycle, open door and add/take clothes out

- A really short cycle time for freshening up clothes would be useful

+ Noise is very low compared to old machine. The amount of features is fab, so many to choose from, there must be one for every thing you could wash. I like the 30 min quick was!!!

+ The washer is ease of use, the spin efficency is what we were looking for. the drum size is good for all the towels that are used daily in our household. and fitted in the space I had ready for it to go perfectly.

+ It is easy to use and washes well. I am pleased with the overall performance and think it is definitely value for money, it is the least expensive washing machine I have bought.

- There aren't any bad points just other preferences. I would have liked a quick wash option on more than one cycle. I would have preferred a couple more options to the wash cycles.

+ Good washer, easy to use, only down side is the length of the wash cycles, they are too long. Other than that a good all round washing machine I would be happy to recommend.

Bad design concept there guys!!

+ It has good clear controls and is a nice design.

- It does not really have any bad points really- im quite happy with it.

- The only point i miss and had on a previous hotpoint was a short wash ie half hour but with 30% or 40%. I know i can do a cold wash but sometimes would like to use powder!

+ Really easy to use. The drum is big & the spin is fast so when the clothes come out they are practically dry, especially good when you have to put them in the tumble dryer, saves time & money. A lot quieter than the previous model I owned. I have been really pleased with this machine, I have always had Hotpoint and this is now my 3rd one in 24 years (my 1st lasted 15 years & I had the machine on at least once a day) so lets see if I can get 10 years out of this one!

- The cycles are longer than they used to be so the quickest warm wash is 1 hour long, but you can still do a 30min cold wash but this only really freshens clothes up & doesn't get rid of dirty marks.

+ It is very easy to use,and washes well.

- Some of the cycles are quite long for example heavy soiled over 2 hours.

- The only bad point and its not really bad bad, but I didnt like the way the detergent draw swings open, personally, I prefer the draw to pull out, thats it.

+ The large door makes loading really useful. There's every choice of wash cycle that I need. I like the fact you can adjust the temperature and spin for most of the programs and I find it really simple to use

- You need to refer to the handbook at first as to what the max spin and temperature is each program.

+ it is a good quality make this is the 3rd hotpoint washer i have purchased and they all have a long life span averaging 15 years.

- this one moves around the kitchen and i have to push it back not something i have come across before.

+ very nice washing machine. you can do a wash in 30 minutes, at a cold wash and the washing still comes out really clean. very quiet too. My microwave is louder than the washing machine.
