+ This machine is very easy to use and very flexible - you can set your own wash temperature and spin speed for virtually every programme. Also looks good and most importantly to me matches my existing Hotpoint graphite tumble dryer. I'm very pleased with it for the price I paid.

- Wash times are quite long but this is common now for cold fill machines. It is also quite noisy when spinning but quieter than my old machine so I can't really complain.

- On my previous Hotpoint I had a "Stop" programme, however this model does not have one. Would have preferred that to the "pause" option.

+ I love this machine thought compared to others on the market this gave you a lot for your money. Is v quiet can do lots of different cycles just choose whatever you want!! Delayed start, big drum nice LCD screen..whats not to like!!

+ Very easy to use. Quiet when on spin cycle. This is my third Hotpoint machine and I am very happy with it.

+ Very easy to use and programmes can be easily tailored to suit your load, eg temperarure can be lowered or a slower spin speed selcted.

- It does make a bit of a whirring noise when it starts to spin but that does stop as it spins faster

+ I like the fact that it has fairly compact but still allows 6kg of washing. It has quick wash cycles and the spin eficiency is great.

- Washing at 60 degrees takes 2 hours which very long.

+ I CANT FAULT THIS MACHINE IT IS BRILLIANT I LOVE EVERY THING ABOUT IT.

+ This washing machine is excellent value, the spin speed is really good, and the drum is a decent size

- The cycle speed takes forever(even the fast cycle) and it is quite noisy

+ Large drum takes a large load. Door opens 180 degrees to give complete access to drum for easy loading. Plenty of flexibility to customise your own programmes with water temp & spin speed. Cold water wash programmes effective. Quiet in operation even on highest spin speed and very little vibration. Attractive design.

- The START button needs to be pressed and held for a second or two otherwise the programme does not start. At first I quickly pressed the button and then went away, coming back an hour later to find the wash had not started! The dispenser drawer is quite difficult to remove for cleaning and tends to clog up with fabric conditioner. The wool cycle doesn't use a lot of water & works best on small loads. Detergent tablets don't always rinse away completely- I recommend liquid/gel detergents. Some cycles rather long.

- compotment where you put the washing powder.thay not clearly explain about three section.like (1) for powder(2)for liquied(3)what about the third for (middle one ).

+ A good looking machine. Easy to use (just turn the dial to the appropriate programme) press go, and i does its thing. It's quiet and the fast spin speed means clothes are nearly dry when they come out.

- The cycle times are too long this is due to it being a cold fill only i did not check this as my previous hotpoint was a hot and cold, the spin is very noisy

+ Good cycles, they wash really well! Especially the fastwash, that allows you to choose the temp, all the way up to 60 deg.

- The 60 deg cotton is quite long, and the 30min quick wash is only a cold wash. Would be good to be able to select the temp on that one too!

+ Door opens right back to the machine for loading, fairly quiet, easy to use, spin speed. Also, for my kitchen, it is not so deep as most and fits into the slot very neatly.

+ i find that my washing is now much cleaner even though i use the 40 degree programme for almost eveything. i also like the ease of use for the spin only if i have only one or two hand wash items.

+ The half load quick wash (30 mins) can be really useful. The machine is extremely quiet and has a very solid feel to it when you open the door. Once familiar with the settings, I will probably use my favourite 95% of the time. The laundry comes out very dry because of the spin speed and the energy ratings are very good. I was disappointed to lose my old Hotpoint (over 14 years old!), but the new one is even better!

+ The spin noise is quiet , the wash times are quite accurate although I havent tried the quick wash yet. The booklet is very useful and easy to follow.

- The "freebie" box with pegs biro etc had a money off coupon for liquid wash powder needed for the quick wash, was a month out of date I even sent an email to hotpoint about it but of course it wasnt their fault, bad response if they want me to buy other products I will definitely consider other makes in the future. I have always had Hotpoint washing machines but not next time. It may be a small thing but most machines wash well these days and its the small things which help us decide.

- Timer for when to start the cycle would have been a bonus, but not essential, and guess is on bigger models anyhow.

- A bit ackward to the way the soap draw has been designed. Quick was doesn't rinse the soap out the clothes so you have to put it on rinse again a few times.

+ I have always had Hotpoint washing machines, ( this is my third machine in 40 years of married life) so when my old machine had to be replaced, I had no decisions to make, Hotpoint was going out and a Hotpoint had to come in. Easy use of the machine, the price was fantastic value for all the features it has, even my husband is very happy to use it!!
