- The symbols on the machine for the different wash settings do not match standard wash symbols on clothes. I have found this a little annoying as I am not sure if I am using the wash recommended for a particular garment. For this reason I have only rated 'ease of use' 6/10.

+ Eco-cycles

- fact that have to change spin speed etc according to cycle - find myself constantly refering to users guide. also wool cycle not great - both wash and spin - clothes come out same as went in just wet!!!

+ Drum size is large, so fits more washing in. Not too noisy. Easy to use.

- Washing cycles take quite a long time - one and a half hours.

+ Looks good in graphite / silver. Build quality. The drawer is very easy to remove and clean. It is a lot quieter than previous machine, spins are better and can adjust the speed etc. Loading door opens fully 180 degrees to allow easy access and basket fits nicely near the door, rather than standard 90 degrees. I highly recommend this product.

+ It looks good is so easy to use havent even looked at the manual is a good price and has lots of different cycles to choose from my last Hotpoint I had for 10 years and never spent a penny on it so thats why i went for another one i highly reccommend it.

- door does not open as wide as my old one. the quick program always has a slow spin rate it would be great to find a washing machine with a quick wash which has a full spin speed.eg 1400 not 800 like most of them.

+ I have always bought hotpoint washers and dryers and have always found them to be reliable and good value for money. This product offers me the range of cycles that I require with the minimum of fuss and flashing lights that a lot of makes rely on to sell their products.

- The machine can be restarted at the end of the cyle. It would benefit from a programme which would mean you would have to open the door after the cycle has finished.

+ It is a good looking machine that looks very smart with its graphite colour. It is very easy to use and has a good sized drum and gives a very good clean. I would recommend it to anyone.

- Only bad point is the length of each cycle is quite long. However the quick wash cycle is great for emergencies.

+ The washer was easy to use a simple look up in the instruction book and your away ! I rarely need to change the wash number as it's the most common one for me no5 realy pleased with price and ease of use .

+ Attractive grey colour. Good price and excellent value for money. Well known brand. Wide opening door. Easy to use. Washes well. Good website for trouble-shooting / repair issues. 60 degree quick wash is good (although it takes an hour so is not that quick).

- Quick wash cycle (30 mins) is a cold (eco) wash cycle so I rarely use it, although the quick wash facility was one resaon why I bought the machine (and I used it all the time with my last machine). The machine looks a bit plastic-y. It has a cheap-sounding click when it switches on and switches off. It does not give an indication of the time left for a cycle to run (which I had with my last machine). However, I am being nit-picky as my last machine was a more expensive model.

+ to be honest as long as it does it's job i don't care, i need a door that opens fully so my old dog doesn't crash into it, had one before and liked it so just oredered another when it died on me at a fair old age. Like the general design and it seems simple enough to operate

- i find it hard to see the programmes and have to take off my glasses and peer at the programme options, still experimenting, don't wash on a daily basis you see

+ The colour was good not the bright garish silver that some other manufacturers are presently using. Door lock is a good mechanical closure, (No button's) It fitted the sized hole made by my previous twelve year old Hotpoint.

+ It is so quiet compared to the last model (which was also a Hotpoint). It spins really well and is well balanced on the floor. It is easy to clean the powder tray, and it looks good too.

- Nont really, but remove the 2 large bolts from the back of the machine. They are there for transportation. You don`t want them left in when using. So make sure to remove the 2 bolts at the back of the machine before installing.

+ Very stylish machine that has many features. Took a short time to work out the cycles but is a excellent machine. Noise level of the machine is not too bad. Overall I would definately recommend this to others.

+ This washer has a fast wash cycle and 3 eco cycles along with plently other wash cycle options. This together with being a hotpoint were the main two reasons I bought this washer. My last washer (not a Hotpoint) took over 2 and a half hours to do a white wash!
I'd read the reviews for this washer and there were a few comments about the noise on the spin cycles - mines on a tiled floor but isnt too bad and not any noisier than my last one. So far so good.
