+ EVEN THOUGH IT ISN'T SILENT LIKE IT SAYS IT'S IS 1000% QUIETER THAN MY LAST ONE. IT'S EASY TO USE EVEN WITHOUT THE INSTRUCTIONS AS MY HUSBAND AND 15 YEAR OLD MANAGED TO GET IT GOING WITH NO PROBLEMS.

+ It's very easy to use - simple self explanatory buttons.
All the functions we need are available - time saver, mini load, eco wash etc.
I also like the countdown timer so you know how long is left in the cycle.
Seems reliable - I just hope it lasts!
Looks stylish too...

+ Had a hotpoint washing machine before that lasted 16 years with only needing the motor brushes replaced from time to time which was why we decided to go for hotpoint again.

+ very easy to use, almost no need to revert to the instruction manual as the display screen shows clearly what instructions you have made., drum size is very good for a family ( we number 4 in our house ) , and really makes a dent into the dirty linen basket.We are fotunate to a utility room , seperate to our kitchen , but even when i have been in there when it,s been on full spin , it not loud enough of any note to mention ( althought would i be saying the same if i had to live with it in the kitchen , everyday .....don,t know )

- there is no such thing as a perfect electrical good , but as of yet 2 months in , nothing to report

+ VERY QUIET, DRUM IS A GOOD SIZE AND THE MACHINE IS SO SIMPLE TO USE.

- I USE TO HAVE A HAND WASH OPTION ON MY OLD HOTPOINT MACHINE AND I DID USE IT. THIS ONE DOES NOT. IT'S NOT A MAJOR PROBLEM THOUGH.

- Force of habit, I put the washing gel straight into the drum and the clothes did not wash properly. It does say to use the drawer.

+ Nice looking machine and does everything very well.
Cycle times can be long but the longer it takes the better is washes i guess.
Shorter cycles are avalible but washing must be effected.
The 1600 spin leaves the clothes water free so drying time is reduced.
On the whole does exactly what is says on the tin.

- No bad points if you take the time to read the spec you have nothing to be suprised over.

+ Looks good. Very good range of pre programmed cycles. Initially I thought it would take a bit of getting used to as I was used to a dial. I worked it out in seconds. It is SO easy to use. The top spin means clothes come out practically dry. Very large drum size, I usually just use the mini load function. I would reccommend this machine ;-)

- Not really a bad point but some of the cycles seem to be quite long. 2 hrs for a 90' wash... Not really a bad poin tthough as I just put the stuff in and forget it.

+ So easy to use, the cycles are clearly labelled and you can choose a cycle then also change temperature if you don't want to use the default temperature for that cycle. Also, it tells you how long a cycle is before you start it which is really handy for busy people like me!

+ Large drum capacity - able to put all the darks or light clothes in one wash rather than doing a couple. Also able to wash a single (thinish) duvet! Very quiet, easy to use and quick cycles! A truely excellent machine

- Only that the 'time left on cycle' is not accurate - generally takes 5 minutes or so more, but this really isn't a problem at all and definitely isn't a reason not to buy this machine!

- some cycles I would increase the spin speed, although this is probably not recommended for the clothes types

+ Very easy to use, has a useful feature which enables the user to customise the pre set programmes by changing the wash temperature or spin speed.

- The cycle times aren't that accurate but do give a rough idea of how long is left before the end of the cycle.

+ This machine is very quiet and you will not know it is on spin cycle. The 8kg drum size will allow less washes per week and is excellent value for money.

+ Great performance. Quiet when washing, a little noisier when spinning as expected but still not as bad as our previous washing machine. Very well made and it looks great. We got the graphite colour one and it looks alot better than in the picture.

- The only thing I would mention is that it does not turn it self off at the end of the washing cycle. Very minor observation though.

- Cycles seem to take longer than it says the time left is.

+ Really simple to set programs. Quiet. Has memory program store. Good 1600 spin and each time you press the spin button or temperature button it goes down a setting so you can customise spin & temp. It doesn't say you can do a cold wash in the manual but you can, just press the temperature button until it reads 0. And with the large drum this means I can cold wash all my 3-seater sofa cotton covers on a 1600 spin in one wash and they didn't shrink, great.

+ The drum size is especially useful for a family of 4. There is a great choice of programs and you can easily amend the temperature/spin speed which in turn reduces the cycle time. I hadn't realised how bad my old washing machine had got, i can now smell the fabric conditioner on my clothes again when i wear them.

+ It is very quiet when washing. I like the delay start feature. The machine lets you know when the washing cycle is finished by beeping and a knocking sound. If you have missed a sock the pause button allows you to stop the wash and pop it in.

- The load balancing system. If the load is not balanced correctly ( usually bulky items) it will not spin or spin at a reduced spin speed.

- Length of programme is far too long.

+ The machine has a large drum which cuts down on the number of loads required in a week which therefore makes it more economical. It also seems to wash clothes very well.

+ Extremely quiet. Very easy to use single push button display that can be read at a glance. Helpfully remembers the programme that you used last, so if you do the same temperature wash each time you just need to press Start. Also, the ability to pause the programme is great if someone suddenly decides they have to have a shower, etc.

- The side opening drawer takes some getting used to.

- It's a bit niosey on spin cycles

+ I like the drum size and I like the features. I particularly like the fact that you can stop the machine mid cycle and gain access to the washing ...... so important if you've left something like a mobile phone in a pocket !!! The various functions are easy to get to grips with and overall the machine is easy to operate.

- I can't see why the 30 min wash only has a max spin speed of 800rpm because that is just far too slow. I would like to have had a pre-wash facility that would move straight on to the main wash cycle when the pre-wash has finished. I also can't work out why there is no filter to clean because the amount of 'hairy animal clothing' that goes through my machine must surely mean that it's getting trapped somewhere and affecting the machines performance ?????

+ Very versatile and easy to use. It has some very useful cycles. Also the drum size is above average.

- When the machine was installed by the supplying shop, after a rinse cycle there would water on the floor. Their service engineers said that the only cure was to raise the front of the machine to stop the water running out of the front draw when it is set for a rinse cycle. Thus the machine now is slightly tipped backwards.

On reduced time function clothes come out with powder not rinsed away properly
