- THE LINT CATCHER IS AWKWARD - ALOT OF THE FLUFF GETS PULLED OFF WHEN THE PART IS BEING PULLED OUT AND THEREFORE, I HAVE TO GET A TORCH, TWO SKEWERS AND ALOT OF PATIENCE!! I HAVE TO CHOPSTICK THE EXTRA FLUFF OUT OF THE CAVITY IN ORDER THE AIR FLOW IS NOT COMPROMISED.

+ I didn't want to spend a lot and I didn't want a whole load of features I would never use; a sound, basic tumble dryer. It delivers! It took minutes to unpack, connect up the hose to the vent vacated by the previous dryer and that was it.

+ this is the second hotpoint tumble dryer we have had and the first one served us very well for eight years . we bought this one for the reliability and would recommend this item to friends and family.

- as with most tumble dryers the heater elements tend to get fluffed up after a while and this cause's the machine to run luke warm [safety feature] but once cleaned by an engineer/ electrition its back to normal working conditions again.

+ I like to buy hotpoint i have had various appliances over the years that have done me well.

- This is the second tumble dyer I have brought from Hotpoint I am giving you a second chance on this one , my previous hotpoint tumble dryer broke down during its warranty, then broke down again after the warranty ran out same fault, but as I had not brought break down ( too expensive) I bought a new tumble dryer. Fingers crossed.

+ I am very pleased with my tumble dryer, I especially like that once the door has been opened it has to be started again once you have shut the door (great when my grandchildren come they cant keep turning it on)

+ really easy to use,i had a hotpoint aquarius condenser dryer before this one,but as it is in my garage didnt really see the point in spending a lot of money on a condenser one.this dryer actually works and dries clothes a lot quicker than my old condenser one.would definatley recommend this dryer although it is quite basic it does what i want it to do and that is dry my clothes quickly.

+ Very quiet, spins both ways drying the cloths much faster i think compared to my last dryer, don't need any fancy looks, does exactly what it says it does.

+ The overall Drum size and load capacity is great for us as we have lots of children and adults clothes going in. The energy efficiency is a good point too.

- The hose at the back can be awkward to fix and keep in place especially if you have to vent it through a window. It can also be a bit noisy if it has a bigger than normal load in it.

Dries items extremely fast; therefore shorter time setting

- Had to turn drier sideways to door to get it in but because of large protrusion at the back of the drier, had to remove the door to actually get it in. Printed measurements did not appear to take this rear protrusion into account
