Hotpoint FFA52P Reviews: Frost Free, Freestanding, Multi fridge freezer

+ I found that it was the best at the time of purchasing i.e. space in both fridge and freezer. The price was rather good too, I know others had more space but there was a big diference in price.

- The only fault I can find is that the fridge door does not have that magnet pull when closing the door and it's easy to leave it slightly open thinking it has closed. Other than that no problems.

+ Fridge good size. Smart looking and good size.

- The freezer compartments - four levels. Top and bottom levels are only half the depth therefore making it too small to meet our requirements. The two centre drawers are ok.

- we swapped the doors and there were parts missing and holes not drilled - it also revealed some pretty shaky build quality on the non 'consumer facing' parts (bit this is probably the same of all fridges)

+ It's small enough to fit into the available gap in my kitchen, although it's slightly taller than the old fridge freezer, so we can't stuff tea trays on top any more.
The fridge capacity is a larger proportion of the whole than the old one, which is better - it's what we were looking for.

- Magnetic doorcatch on the freezer door is a bit too strong making the door difficult to open for me as an OAP.

- The freezer draws a a touch shallow, so unable to store large amounts in each.

+ Looks good, quite quiet. Width meant that it fit into the limited space I had available.

Would be better with seperate controls for fridge and freezer instead of just one for both - if the freezer is the correct temperature then the fridge is a little too cold and if the fridge is correct then the freezer is too warm.

+ Very efficient, Quiet operation. It really maintains freezing on No. 2 position. A most satisfactory purchase.

- The ice cube containers being of an opaque plastic make it difficult to determine the proper water level.

Ice cube holders - a complete waste of time. Too small and difficult to fill and empty.

+ It was a frost free freezer and that would be of great benefit due to arthritis and not being able to bend to defrost .
