+ Easy to use, dries a lot quicker than my old condensor tumble dryer and produces a LOT less condensation in the room it is in (old machine misted up all the windows and left condensate on cold surfaces in the room). Big 7kg drum dries duvet covers quickly.

- None that I can think of, except: my 3 year old son pulls the door open when in fact it is designed to be pushed open, so I am worried he might break the catch - it needs to be stronger.

- There seems to be no catch on the flap covering the condenser unit at the very bottom of the dryer - so the flap often opens up and smacks down on the floor - I've had to put sticky tape on it to keep it closed! Also - it's quite noisey!

+ This dryer store dries our clothes really quickly - a very full load will dry in 90 minutes. It has changed my life - washing for a family needs a dryer!

- I don't think there are any - people have said it is noisy but it is in a wash room in our house so if you close the door you can't hear it at all. Is that considered noisy?

- the door is very tempremental sometimes closes and sometimes does not this part of the dryer is the only fault as the connection on the door does not connect with inside

+ It is a great tumble dryer, great value for money, I needed a dryer to put in my baseman so couldn't have a vented one, I wasn't sure how a condenser one would work, but I think is as good if not better then a vented dryer.

- Since the day it was installed, we have had to have the engineer out several times and he has replaced several parts but it is still extremely noisy - at one point the whole house vibrated. I would have expected a replacement when paying for a brand new appliance but instead got several repair/replacement parts - would reccommend steering clear of this model!

+ Good basic tumble dryer, no flash features but it dries the clothes well. Water is collected in a top draw, which is better than the old floor level collection point.

- The door closing design is awful! The door needs closing 3 or 4 times before it stays shut, and therefore needs trying 3 or 4 times before it opens. Might call an engineer to it soon, but the design is not brilliant.

+ I am happy with this product, however I have it in a utility room as opposed to it being in the kitchen. If it were in the kitchen I think my review would be less favourable as the dryer is rather noisy and becomes extremely hot - I have to have a window open when it's on to stop condensation.

Whilst the energy saving may be useful, drying times are at least double that of my previous dryer - I will be contacting Hotpoint to check that there is not a fault on the machine!

- It needed the drive belt replacing after only 6 months. The belt had stretched and worn. The engineer replacing the belt said these things just weren't made to last. My previous dryer was smaller but lasted 18 years without breaking down.

+ have had one of these before did not realise it was the same manufacturer, the door is a problem as was my last one it sometimes does not open and has to be hit hard, the last one just stopped heating would definitely not buy again

+ Easy to use, no complicated system of buttons or switches! Holds loads of water if you are like me and keep forgetting to empty the tray but it does have a light which comes on when you really do need to empty.

- The only bad thing I can say is it's a little noisy in use but no more than any other I suppose.

+ Condensing tumble dryer no need for a venting kit or the need to have windows open to take away the steam.Easy to operate and particularly quiet when in operation. Forward and backward spining of the drum means clothes are less creased. Cooling feature means no burns from buttons, zips etc when emptying the dryer. Free 5 year parts guarantee was a bonus.
