+ Easy to use

- One of the cycles fails to finish and I will have to get the engineer in. From the first time I used it.

- Looks like it might take off into space with all the lights, but once you get past this it really is easy to use.

+ Its really quiet, takes masive loads and spins at 1600 rpm leaving the clothes very dry without creasing. The temperature can be easily altered reducing the programmed times.

- Some of the programmes can be a bit long.

+ You can see exactly what each cycle does and it counts down the time left to the end of each cycle. Larger drum has cut down on the number of washes I do each week. Easy to keep clean with the powder dispenser behind the door.

+ The washing machine is so quiet, you can barely tell that it is on. It is extremely easy to use, with straightforward and simple instructions. you can even pause the wash once it has started!

+ I love my new washing machine- plenty of choice for washing programmes and you can fine tune them to what you need. Big washing drum so you can fit plenty in, even your duvets. LCD screen is easy to understand and can see how long is left of the washing cycle. recommended

+ Brilliant Machine! Loads of Different Cycles. Good Spin Speed, takes a large load (great in a large house!) Really Quiet, our old machine was miles louder, it was surprising when we first used this one. Looks very modern too.

- Only thing I can think of is that some of the Cycle Times are a bit long. Other than that, it's brilliant!

+ having had alot of washing machines in the past i would say this is the best yet it is very quite and easy to use with a wide range of programes. The internal powder draw stayd much cleaner and does not encourage mould to form so is allways fresh

+ fantastic, quiet, machine with enormous 8kg drum(ideal for families). Straight forward programming. Light inside door allows you to see your washing when unloading - especially useful for dark washes. Time countdown displayed in panel tells you when wash is due to finish.

+ very quiet. Dont even realise it's on! great for big loads, easy to use dials as well as touch buttons, handy childlock useful with a 2yr old who is currently obsessed with pressing buttons surrounded by lights!

+ Quiet machine with a large drum. Washes very effectively and the 1600 spin speed makes clothes almost dry.

- Not many, only thing for me is you cannot access the drawer once the machine has started so make sure you never press start without checking you remembered to put in the washing powder!

+ I love the large load capacity. It takes only 1 wash load for every 2 of my old machine. It is large enough for a king size duvet and even has a duvet cycle. Fantastic. Best machine I have ever had.

+ Very quiet. Big drum. All the features you need and A rated right across the board. The longest cycle is 2 and half hours but you don't need to use it very often. The programme I use most is 1 hour 35 which is over half hour less than old machine. Best washing machine ever had.

+ bed and bath feature excellent and being able to wash bed throws instead of going to the launderette. 7.5kg has cut down on the number of times the machine is on and is proving more economic in running costs. Controls easy to understand and easy to change if you want.

+ Before buying a new washer I did my research quite intensely, after about a week of looking on line and on the high street, and comparing various machines, I decided to go with this one. I wanted one with a big drum, fast spin and easy to use, and also looks good in my kitchen. And so far I have not been disappointed! The cycles are great, I love the way you can program which washes you want and that there is a time delay. I also love the half load setting, I dont have to wait for my washing to pile up, I can literally wash only a few items of clothing without worrying about the water usage and energy consumption. All the settings are easy to use and understand. Even the husband can use it! It washes great and the duvet, towels, bedsheets cycle is just what I need! Also its soo quiet that I often have to check whether its on! I would definitely recommend it! Apart from the price its an over all good washer.

+ An excellent washing machine that washes the clothes very well and has a great spin cycle too, there is hardly any moisture left in them. It has a very large drum, so I am doing less washing because of being able to fit more in each time. There are so many choices of cycle available, which actually makes sorting the washing and deciding on the correct one much easier, instead of more difficult. I highly recommend this product.

- Door needs to be closed very firmly which takes a while to get used to. It won't leak but makse a noise from the lock and sounds an alarm. Cycle times are long but wash statandard is very high..

+ I love this machine. Its easy to use, can take a large load and I especially like the fact I can stop the machine during a load and add items I have forgotten to put in without disrupting the cycle.

- Set programme names don't correspond to the standard clothes label but once you get used to this its a minor point.

- Would like to have seen a 60 minute wash. Had this on my old machine and it was invaluable. The larger load compensates the loner wash cycle but putting both together would be washing nivana.

+ looks quite stylish, very quiet on wash cycle and not very noisy when on full spin, has convenience of washing heavy loads. oading drum slightly higher than others so easier on back when loading! good that you can interrupt cycle at any time if you've forgotten an item.

+ machine is very stylish but more importantly does the washing with beautifully. Larger drum means clothes are less tangled together even after 1600 spin. Quietest machine ever - sometimes I have to check that it is actually on!

+ After being hugely disappointed by my previous 2 washing machines I am thrilled to bits with my Hotpoint. So simple to use, great selection of programmes, quick wash feature is a bonus. We carried out quite a bit of research and price comparison before buying this one and it was certainly worth it. I have recommended this washing machine to anyone who has mentioned they are looking for a new one.

- Not really a bad point, but one of the reasons for purchasing was that it was more quiet than other machines and has 'super silent' on it - as I tend to use the 1600 spin quite a lot it is slightly noisier than I thought it would be but this is being very picky!!

+ Love the fact that it's so quiet, that it tells you how long it is o the end of the programme, and that there is s much room in the big drum for the wash to get really well wash and rinsed.It's really easy to use and I like the way you can vary the temperature and spin speed.
I love the look of the machine, and the charcoal-grey colour.

- The door catch is not very positive. It is hard to feel when it is closed I often try to start a programme and have to re-close the door.

+ the style of the washer is really good, it is quite quiet & the drum size & door is another positive point

- i have found the washing times to be ridiculously long, one paricular cycle is nearly 3hrs!!!! this is pathetic to be honest plus there is no hand wash cycle & the fast wash cycle will not let u go above a 30 degree wash or 800 spin when it has a 1600 capacity!! (this would be the cycle that i would use more often but as u cannot alter things it makes it difficult to reply on this)

- Unable to access soap/softener once the door has been closed.

+ The machine works well and is well made product. The machine has a good clock setting function to allow for washes when you are out of the house. Large door for pillows etc.

+ Extra large load capacity which enables the washing of difficult items like duvets. Machine can be set to start at a later time. Super large door which opens fully. Good choice of wash programmes & extras. Very quiet in operation. Uses amount of water it needs only, depending on size of load. Looks good in situ!!

+ Excellent machine. Big door a great asset. Big drum also. Best machine I have had. Would buy another tomorrow. Easy programming. Overall very satisfied and would recommend it.
Following points are suggestions for perfection!

- Only three criticisms:
1. No handwash programme.
2. Long wash cycles- do not feel it is necessary to wash clothes for that length of time-unnecessary wear and tear.
3. Short and low temperature washes do not have 1600 spin speed options so have to complete wash cycles then do another 20 min 1600 spin cycle.

+ Ease of use is very good (as long as you pay attention to the instructions). And it should be mentioned that the clothes come out very clean. Too much emphasis placed on cycles and noise takes away from what a machine is supposed to do I think. Having said that the noise is low but the cycle times have a habit of re-adjusting themselves along the cyle making some cycle times quite long. Overall, very pleased.
