- When the drum is rotating during a wash cycle it makes a slight scratchy noise like there is sand or something in the mechanism!?. Noisy spin at 1400 but OK at other spin speeds.

- disapointed with the wash cycles linked to the spin speeds some cycles that use lower heat take 2hours to complete have to do a final spin on most washes to get highest spin speed

Short washing cycles are excellent at all temperatures.

- Little bit noisey on large heavy loads but it doesn't put you off.
Some of the longer washing cycles are too long, so only use once in a while for a really full load.
The rinsing cylce of 24mins is a bit long for a few hand wash items but because it does such a good, again, it doesn't put you off the machine at all.

+ Absolutely fantastic- can't praise it enough. We are a large family (3 teenage boys & 9yr old boy) so I wanted a machine with a large drum and the price of this was great at the time. Has a 29min wash which is 29mins, (last machine, a Samsung would take an hour if it said 30mins). Lovely and quiet. Nice compact size. Love it, love it, love it.

- Didnt realise that it didnt have a half load option. It does say that it automatically fills to amount of washing but on loading advice states that you shouldnt overload it.? Also there are very few programmes you can use maximum load on. That was one of the features I wanted it for as I have large wash loads.

+ The drum size very good for families, the machine is quite quiet and the 29mins cycle is fab.

- Looooooong cycles! Arrives in a really strange kind of kit form, drove my husband mad, you had to turn it upside down (yes, really!!) and attach a kind of padding to the bottom. Why on earth couldn't it have come with that ready done??

+ I have beeen very pleased with my new machine. The drum size is very large and the varible spin speeds good. I do find that if you put it on a quick wash it woudl benefit from an additional spin as it only spins at 800 which leaves the clothes feeling slightly wetter than I would like. I find the delay timer excellent to ensure that clothes are washed at the most economical time. There is a good range of washes. Teh display showing the remaining time is useful. I choses this machine for the VFM and also the efficiency which is great. I would recommend.

- The only thing that I could think of is that it would beneift from a child lock button as my kids enjoy playing with the buttons.

+ Very good washer automatic half load sensor, very energy efficient, plenty of different cycles for more delicate washes, 1400 spin cylce reduces drying time considerably saving both extra energy and therefore reducing your carbon footprint. Great size drum, all in all what more could you ask for from a washer? it does what it says on the tin.

+ Excellent value for money. Washes a big load so I feel I am not doing as much washing as I used to! The quality of the wash is excellent. I like the delay start option so the washing isn't left in the drum for a long time.

- Quick wash at 40 only spins at 800 but you can select additional spin at 1400 which only takes an extra 10 mins.

+ The main reason I went for this machine when my old one died was the drum size, meaning that I could wash the never ending pile of sleeping bags I have to wash after Scout camps and other activities my husband and sons take part in. The spin speed, timer and effciency also paid a major part in the decission.

+ Comparing various manufacturers, designs and models, we opted for the Hoover because it has the best design door and door opening. Most others were fragile & flimsy looking we were worried the door would cause problems in the future.
It is extremely easy to use with differnet cycles.

+ As a home-based beauty therapist, I use lots of thick towels in my work, so needed a drum with a large capacity, quick washing cycles and a very efficient spin.
This machine does all of this. I'm delighted with it.

- 1 cycle takes around 3 hours! I've not used it yet and probably won't. I can't see why it should take that long!

+ It's got a nice big drum and it really does take 8 kilos loads.
The "cold wash" does work well but not with very soiled clothes.
It's much quieter than our last Hoover.

- We really wish that there was a hot water inlet (in addition to the cold inlet) as we have loads of hot water on tap (green, ecologically supplied) and now we have to heat water in the machine for washes which is going to put our electricity bills up and cost the environment more...............Bad move Hoover!

+ I like the large drum, fewer washes means less energy and less detergent. The time delay is good to, I set it to come on early morning when the electricity is cheaper. Every detail of this machine is very good.

- There are none that I have found.

+ The washing machine is easy to use though if the cycle knob is not exactly on the cycle you wish to use it can very easily pick up the cycle following on,very sensitive controls.The machine is quiet when in use and is alot quicker washing clothes than my previous machine.

- The 50 temperature cycle which is a pre-wash has to be a half load which is a waste of time as i prefer to wash school shirts and work shirts on a pre-wash which takes up the bulk of my washing thus making the process twice as long.If the pre-wash was available on 50 degrees for a full load and the control was not as sensitive i would recommend this product to be 10 out of 10.

Really easy to set up I had it working within an hour of arrival. Have washed several times a day since I bought it without any problems.

- The plastic buttons on the front are quite fragile and cheap looking- I am frightened that I will break them if I push them too hard. The buttons are very small and do not sit well within the plastic housing.
Lots of unnecesary program options - would have preferred to be able to set the temperature manually.
