Hoover HNL662 reviews: Front Loading loading, 6kg capacity washing machine

+ I love the 'daily wash' cycles, the time saver option and the stain blaster option. Its lovely and quiet compared to the washing machine that I have just got rid of. That sounded like an airplane taking off in the kitchen! Being ten years old though entitled it to make loud noises!!

- Can't think of any bad points, although the AA40 degree wash did take about 3 hours, but then with the time saver option you don't have to wait that long really.

- The powder dispenser does not glide very easily out of the machine.

- hat no one tells you that the 1600 spin is not automatic, you have to wait for the cycle to finish and then reset it to spin at 1600. Also seems to have to press start at least twice to get it to start??

+ The time a wash takes is variable. The 'daily wash' buttons are useful,especially for small families.,the normal wash cycles take a long time.

- Quite noisy.There is no variable spinspeed,but we knew that.liquid washing soap has to go straight into the drum,instead of going into the dispenser.

+ Plenty of different cycles to use, very quiet, the machine is very well balanced so does not shake the kitchen when on, stain blaster button excellent (gets my chefs whites clean)

- If you have forgotten to take the washing out and you want to do a final fabric softner rinse again (to get rid of creases) this does not seem possible without going through a full rinse cycle

- When you forget to press the time saving button, cycles takes a long time - but then, so do most other washing machines. Only negative bit is the fact that there is no 60 degrees C wash without a prewash.

+ Great timing cycles. Using ecoballs with a touch of soap powder and am delighted with the result.

- Spin cycle could be better. Clothes come out fairly wet and have to be re spun on 'spin cycle'

- because of high spin rate it is a tiny bit noisier than my last one but happy to take that as it will save me time and money with the drying process

- Buttons on the front e.g slow spin, are too sensitive, if you accidently lean on the machine you end up setting half of them!. Also its a nuisance that you have to do a separate spin on the 40 degree quickwash programs.

+ All cycles good apart from silk cycle. Especially like quick daily wash cycle for cover, provided for dog to protect my bedding!! Dog appreciate daily fresh clean bedding, as do we. Normal cycles are time consuming, but then who watches it work. Ample time to get other chores done. Overall excellent value and very happy with product.

- Silk cycle doesn't apear to drain water efficiently and leaves fabrics satuated.

+ This washing machine was so easy to use with a wide variety of programmes/features to save time and energy.The spin cycles are surprisingly quiet (even at 1600rpm) which makes it possile to use late at night or early in the morning without disturbing anyone. This was the only machine i found that encoporated all the features that i needed (e.g. half load, hand and wool wash, variable temp and spin control, delay timer, A or A+ ratings and quick wash programmes) and which didn't break the bank.

- The only downside is that the shorter cycles don't spin at the full 1600rpm but that seems to be the case with most washing machines so don't let it put you off.

- The washing cycles are close to two hours but you can chose three options of shorter loads if you are in a hurry and the clothes are only lightly soiled.
