Epson Stylus SX600FW Reviews: Epson Photos Colour Inkjet Printer

+ WiFi easy to set up, very good letter printing, good quality pictures, address labels and business cards perfect.
Just what I required for my one man operation.

+ Wireless printing easy to set up if follow instructions and read reviews. Black and white prints so quick! Colour photos on glossy paper good enough for the wall. Can put it anywhere you like - out of sight - still available to any computer on your network.

- Very noisy "grabbing" of paper - there is "quiet mode" but I think this applies to the actual printing not the paper feed.

+ The colour printing quality is very good. Direct connection to SD card etc is very good. The overall looks are fab. The colour display is both easy to read and gives a good representation of the photo you want to print.

- The general guidance notes could be a lot better, for example a general product overview/diagram would be helpful. Connecting this thing is an absolute nightmare. I work with computers all day long, have set up my own wireless network and this thing makes me feel like a complete numpty.

+ The printers speed surprised me as I also have another Epson printer, the reason I purchased the new one because of its wireless function and it was very easy to set up as long as you follow the instructions exactly on the disc. Its great to have it upstairs out of the way. Thanks Epson

- The only issue I have is that when the first page is fed into the printer it is a little noisy but then who cares when its not in the same room

Seems to have used the black cartridge diturbingly quickly, I'm a bit confused about whether there is a higher volume black cartridge. Epson's (rather confusing) manual suggests there is but they don't recommend it!

+ Great print speeds/quality. Great scan speed/quality. Also this product features function that aren't even mentioned in the product description. Setup is very easy so don't be put of by reviews of this product setupo being diffucult - i have managed to get all the features working on my printer wirelessly as well as wired.

- This printer is overall an amazing printer but if i had to nit pick, i would say a bad point is the the printer does use a fair amount of ink and does take a while for initial ink caterage charge - but these are both minor problems as it charges once and epson ink is cheap compared to other printers that consume more ink.

+ wireless means it's set up in one room and the family can utilise it with their own settings. Ideal with a busy family doing school and college work on laptops - one printer fits all!!!

+ Purchased about a month ago. Impressed with all features and both photo copier and print quality. Followed instruction to set up wifi. This took approx. 15 minutes with no problems. (Handy being able to access from any computer).
Reasonable build quality. I spent several hours comparing this printer to others before purchasing. Happy with the choice i made.

- When you load new ink it gets air in and takes ages to sort out. Last time I had to take it back to the store. I have 3 of these printers in different locations and they all have the same problem

3) Rather quick
4) 4 separate cartridges system makes it more efficient to use

- 1) "Quick print" produces very low quality pages (used to have Lexmark where "quick print" was so much better.)
2) If you don't tick "silent print" mode, the noise printer makes is way too loud! "Silent print" is kind of fine.

+ Ive had the Epson SX600fw for 12 months, but liked it so much I got my dad to get one aswell. Everything you could possible want from a printer, and the added benefit is that it's so decently priced!! Plus the ink cartridges are separate, so you only have to replace one at a time.

- As it's wireless, it took me a while to get it up and running. Not just once, coz Ive had to do it twice now. And the second time I got quite stressed. The trick is to keep calm - I went for a cuppa to de-stress, came back and it connected to the network straightaway!
