+ Really fast and excellent quality when printing 6 x 4 and 7 x 5 photos. Scanning and copying are fast too, much better than our old flatbed scanner. Wireless feature is handy since the printer is shared on our home network. works fine from both Vista and XP.

- I have not yet found a Linux driver that allows ready access to all the features.

+ Havn't really used this product enough to comment to much, But the ease of set-up and speed of printing is impressive.

- Paper tray feels flimsy compared to rest of machine. Expensive ink replacements if you use genuine Epson ink.

+ Clean lines, good small size for an all in one, wireless connectivity, large tiltable panel LCD screen, DVD printing, two sizes in one print tray.

- The wireless set up is flawed. Followed the instructions precisely and it didnt work - sometimes it makes you wonder who tests the instructions out. I eventually managed to get the printer to connect to my wireless hub but a totally different way to how they described. Sometimes it seems to take a long time to print, but it might be because I switch it on and it is negotiating its wireless connectivity first.

+ Great printer, very good quality, better than most printers on the market, i needed a printer which had wireless, cd/dvd printable, but also required it to be all in one, there were two hp, and this one, design on this one was better so chose this one

- not many bad points only that it is 6 ink cartridge so could end up being abit expensive if too many photos / pictures are printed, also if printer is turned off from wall then first print after startup could take upto 5 minutes.

Expert reviews for Epson Stylus Photo PX800FW

TechRadar expert review

Epson's Stylus Photo PX800FW is a feature-packed multiformat device that can print borderless photos from 10x15cm up to A4 size. It also prints directly from memory cards, preview photos on an 8.9cm LCD viewer, photocopies and faxes in black and white or colour, prints onto a CD or DVD, scans text into docs and connects to your Mac through USB, Ethernet or WiFi. But does it perform any better than Epson's PX700W, which was poorly received last year?Bit of a wash-outUnfortunately, our base test, a colour print on standard-quality paper, proves just as problematic. While in some cases a multifunction printer simply means combining a printer with a scanner, some, such as the Epson Stylus PX800FW add touches we haven't even seen before.

Multifunction peripherals (MFPs) are ideal if you need an all-purpose colour printer, flatbed scanner and low-volume copier, but don\'t have room for separate devices.
