+ Superb quality printing , easy to use software , superb colour rendition , range of paper sizes and media acceptability , direct cd printing , thick media , roll media . Prints that will last our lifetime . Extremely lifelike prints . I don't see the speed option as relevant as those that want quality are prepared to wait and it's fast enough for me compared to older printers .

- would not suit those who want hi - glossy prints , more for people who want natural looking prints . This is geared towards the pro - end if the market , that's not a bad point just needs those wishing to buy to know .

+ It gives me top class prints first time, elimiting the time wasting repeats that I had become used to previously. Also, the printing is much faster and a much more rewarding experience.

- Expensive to run.

+ Easy to set up and use with included CD. Neat and compact for an A3 printer. Excellent prints both colour and monochrome. Monochrome exceptionally good.

- All fairly minor points and all down to the manufacturer. Included instructions very brief and not always obvious. Main manual only available on screen or by printing out.(A lot of paper and ink needed). Connecting cable not included, except at an extra cost. The need to change black inks for certain types of paper, it shouldn't be difficult for Epson to have nine inks in place and some kind of switch-over. Cost of replacement inks.

+ The printer is fvery good, photo quality prints are brilliant and speed is pretty good.

- Expensive cartridges and you can't get multipacks, No paper storage trays. I expected easier user friendly guide and for the cost I would have expected more functionality buttons, a digital display (maybe)

- Manual: Confusing & not that comprehensive, Backup could be better (Epson), Cartridges expensive & as already stated it is a shame the backup from Epson is not better.

+ Print quality is great even A3 size prints. The quality of colours makes it a really good printer for the amature photographer also Epson have a wide range of printing papers compatible with the printer & it's profiles. When it comes to black & white printing there is also an advanced section available where you can give your print a warm look & sepia look as well as a quality black & white print. The fact that there are 9 inks available makes the difference compared to other printers.

- The ink cartridges are small and with there being 9 cartridges it can make replacing them very expensive. Also the printer only holds 8 cartridges and you have to swap the black cartridge with a different black cartridge depending on what paper your printing on.

Refilling the Epson Stylus Photo R2880 A3+ printer will set you back £90 a time. But some things are worth it. The print quality of this high-end photo printer is very good indeed.Epson has a great reputation when it comes to printing excellence and part of the company's secret is ink; the other is the LUT technology.Clever printer technologyLUT stands for Look-Up Table.
