Dyson DC16 Car and Boat Reviews: , , Vacuum cleaner

+ I read a number of reviews on the product and the vast majority of comments were about the battery life. I do not believe that the product is intended to replace the vacuum cleaner e.g., for use in cleaning a car etc. The intention with this is to be able to clean up small scale spills etc. in this respect it is almost prefect (a bit heavy but that is presumably required to give the power that it has). I find it great to use after the kids meals to clean up the invariable bits and pieces that are on the floor etc. Whilst the battery has run out on me once this was when I was using it for something that I should have been using the vacuum cleaner for. I am happy with the product and glad we spent the extra money.

+ Good sucker, neat design, rechargable, light-ish.

- Poor battery life - i.e. runs out before finishing the car!

+ Power in picking up general debris on a boat, plus ability to see when it's getting full. No replaceable bags to purchase

- Long time to charge and six minutes from fully charged to run down is just not long enough

+ very powerful and good for our caravan

- would be better if the battery had longer use time

+ compact easy to use does what it says on the tin picks up same as bigger dyson

- battery life too short

+ Better suction than any hand held hoover i've used before

- Charge doesn't last long enough to finish cleaning car but good to have car charger
