+ I can vacuum the whole house from one socket, including two sets of stairs, I can see when the cleaner needs emptying, it can be used on carpets, wooden floors and tiles with ease, I have no dog hairs left on any carpets, I can clean under the cooker, fridge, cupboards, suite, not to mention under the beds, I can vacuum the bed itself, its easy to use on the car, in fact its the most versatile cleaner out there, as it can also be used to vacuum the suite and curtains.

+ Nearly everything - so much thought has gone into the design - it's almost perfect

- Not really a bad point! The suction is so strong that using the hose & attachments can be slightly difficult as they are being sucked back very strongly

+ sucks up an amazing amount of dust, really cleans well. the extendable pipe is great for cobwebs, very easy to empty dust box.

- the dust box needs emptying frequently, either too small or my house gets very dusty!

+ Suckin' marvellous. Never had a vac like it. My carpets are three years old and it fetched a bag full of muck out of every room. If it really doesn't loose suction, I'll be well impressed. Wish I'd bought one years ago.

- A bit heavy and clumsy. I've always had cylinder style vacs myself, and this is my first upright, so I find using the hose a bit clumsy, and the vac itself a bit heavy, but I will persist and get used to it, brcause it's worth it for the overall performance. Maybe I'll try their cylinder version.

+ Lives up to the Dyson product name. The "animal" does deal with pet hair and copes with different surfaces from real wood, tiled floors, carpet and delicate rugs. Separate "turbo" attachment especially good for fabric and upholstery on furniture. Filters get rid of "smell" when cleaning and suction/power impressive.

- Extendable arm for stairs and lofty areas a good idea but a bit cumbersome and must make sure hose does not bend. Found getting this elongated hose back into the vacuum a bit tight but consider this is down to "newness" of parts/fittings.

+ Really works like it says it will. All the attachments do work well, especially the one for hoovering the car out - it's ace. Clears my persian cats hair out of her bed in a second.

+ An excellent machine. Very good suction - great for cat fur! Mess-free emptying. Hose an improvement on others we've tried before. Very neat storage of the various tools.

- A little bit heavy to manoeuvre. Hose still not perfect, suction-wise, but better than previous cleaners we've had. Quite noisy, but we've got used to it.

+ Very powerful suction. Previously owned a DC04, this is much lighter and the wand/extension is much easier to use.

- Expensive - but then you get what you pay for! Turbo brush does not attach to machine and does not come in a proper box to protect it.

+ Great suction. Easy emptying. Great for dog hair and for cleaning close to the edge. Roller can be raised for hard floors.
