+ the best aspects of the dyson are that when emtying it you dont need to get your hands dirty. I also got a toy stuck in it which was realy easy to fix as the Dyson can be taken apart very easy. You can also dust with it which is great for the tv and entertainment area.

- there is not realy anything to complain about, but i would prefer if the cable was retractable like the cyclone hoovers, but it dosnt realy make a difference

+ I have had the original dyson since it 1st cme out . This new one is very easy to empty and seems to adapt to my variety of floors.

- having been used to the old and simpler dyson it has taken me a while to use it without referring to the instructions. The arrows to show the change to hard or carpeted floors is n´tvery clear

- very heavy...not easy to manouver and stairs are virtually impossible with attachments

+ very powerful and efficient cleaner on both carpet and tiled floors. I have four dogs and it dealt with the hair very well. Had the DYSON ANIMAL version before and this is just as good. Bag empyting easy and despite being quite noisy it is not a problem considering its efficiency.

- The eject button for the cylinder when full is a little flimsy to touch but have never had one break so they must be sufficient.

+ I like Dyson machines, my other one lasted 25 years, so that one owed me nothing at all.

- I find using the telescopic wand a bit fiddly and awkward to use at times..

+ it is easyto use no bending down clean you can see at a glance when you need to empty the machine it has good suction as you dont need to go over the same spot again you can see how much dirt you have lifted and you would be surprised even if you have hoovered the day before.

- carpet cleaning tool is too small for the job and has no articulation, so is very inconvenient and impractical for doing the stairs

My first dyson was the very first one they brought out and it finally packed in,thats why i chose another dyson because of the value for monry and the way it is made.
