+ Perfect toast everytime, a design classic,this is the second one that I have purchased, this one was bought as a present for someone in this colour to match their kitchen, I have all stainless steel version which is in my opinion the best looking example

- Rather expensive for a toaster(but will last for years)

+ While I have marked features as 1/10, which may seem a bad thing, it was it's simplicity that sold this product to me. There are no fancy features to go wrong. Simply design and quality build are what made me choose this over a cheaper toaster that may have had more features.

- I think that it is quite expensive. I'm pretty sure that Dualit has become a bit of a "designer" name and that is why the price is high.

+ Well built. Looks good. Does what it's meant to do. I like it's simplicity. Best feature is the "high lift" because the toast comes right out of the grills (no poking around with fingers or forks to retrieve your breakfast).

- No preset temp control. i.e. you have to guess every morning what number to turn the timer to, but I'll get used to that.

- ITS EASY TO FORGET TO CHECK THE 2 OR 4 SLICE SETTING IF YOU ALTERNATE BETWEEN TOASTING 2 OR 4 SLICES. IT MAKES ITS CLICKING NOISE, EVEN IF THE PLUG IS SWITCHED OFF AT THE WALL - SO YOU CAN THINK IT'S GOING, EVEN WHEN IT IS NOT! IT IS VERY EXPENSIVE, BUT WORTH IT - HOPE IT LASTS FOR YEARS THOUGH ?

+ Replacement for its similar 25 year old predecessor that had been repaired (elements/ timer switch/ 'inner cage') several times. Basic simplicity/ ease of use/ easy to clean and maintain - it just 'looks and feels right'.

- Does seem a bit less substantial than our first toaster (which we've still got and may geta round to repairing) in that it is lighter - both 'ends' made from cast alloy rather that pressed metal as on new toaster. This isn't really a 'bad point' more an observation on ongoing development - if they weren't so expensive we'd give them as gifts more often.

+ I have gone through 3 brand name toasters in the last 2 years, each time the element has blown so the fact that you can replace the elements is cool and it looks great really retro, toasts nicely and is good quality,a bit pricey for a toaster but worth every penny.

+ Dualit toasters are tough.You control the toasting time through your experience of the type of bread you use.The alternative pop up type, waste bread and they are not reliable as they cannot gauge the type of bread.or its moisture conntent. Have had dualit for 15 years and would not consider any other type. this was purchased for its greater capacity, the previous one is still in use.

+ Great design, easy to use and clean and hopefully reliable. Like the idea that it can be fixed if it goes wrong rather than havign to throw it away like other toaster.

- The toaster allows you to choose between heating two or four elements. It would be nice to be able to select one and three as well, but's no big deal.
