- Bought unit for its upscaling to 1080p capabilities - but I could not see any difference with my old Toshiba ( not upscaling ) when displayed on my Toshiba 1080p LCD TV . So is upscaling just a gimic?

+ Connectivity is excellent, as is the overall design and performance of the player. Multi region functionality is seamless and reliable. Integrates well with other equipment in terms of looks and performance. Setup and user interfaces are simple to understand. For the money there's not much to touch it.

- DivX compatibility would be perfect if it was coupled to a front mounted USB port for reading files from memory drives. Remote is too big and clumsy, and also the wrong colour! One or two functions are not listed in the user manual. Pity it's not available in 'Denon gold'!
