+ Superb build quality, good to look at and very easy to use. Astonishingly 'big' sound from such a compact system, with surprisingly excellent bass. I work in a fairly large studio, and it can fill the room with sound at all volume levels, with little or no distortion. Highly recommended.

+ Bought this for our kitchen so we could open the back door and listen to our music in the garden. The sound carries superbly and there is no loss of quality. We were so impressed with the sound quality and love the look of the product and that you can plug your MP3 player into the front so easily. I would highly recommend this product. We wonder how we did without it for so long!!!!!

- Found the speaker connection rather fiddly, preferred previous system which used clip terminals rather than bare wire screw terminals

- Everyone has an MP3 player these days, perhaps the 'icing on the cake' would be an integrated dock or at least the unit sold with the independent Dock.

+ Very simple to set up and use. Easy to add other sound sources like satellite TV. Sound quality is excellent even at volume too high for comfortable listening.

- Both the unit and the speakers are heavy! But maybe that's part of the reason why the sound is so good.

+ Build quality of the unit itself is impressive - solid does not justify it. This makes a refreshing change from nasty plastic buttons often used. The sound is brilliant. I bought it for the kitchen and it makes a huge differance having decent hi-fi sound in there. If we somehow broke it - I would by another straight away.

- Changing DAB stations is slow - advancing from one to another via the buttons on the units facia is a slow process as there are no preset buttons. There are pre-set buttons on the handset - it feels daft picking up a handset to operate a unit that is in front of you. The handset is plasticky. There are lots of cooling vents on the top of the unit - position the unit so that you do not get crumbs etc into it.

+ The controls on the front panel are simple and easy to use. The presets on DAB and FM can only be used controled from the handset. It has sets of aux inputs which I have used to connect to my wireless iTunes and iPod. I am using it in my kitchen and the sound quality and volume is very good. I am using Mission M30i speakers, which work just fine with it.

- The sides and top and covered with air vents, which I was not expecting.

+ Great little all in one. If you asked me a few years ago if I would go down the all in one route I would have said no. But honestly I'm so glad I did. We have no room for my big separates anymore so this setup was bought to replace them and add DAB at the same time. Well worth it. Unbelievable at the price really.

+ Great unit for it's price range. Smashing looking compact unit. It feels nice and solid when you lift it up, giving you confidence that there's actually some substance to it. Have no complaints about the sound at all, although i'm by no means an accoustic expert. All i know is when i turn it up to 11, it performs pretty well!

- The DAB is excellent, but i can't find all the stations i can get on my separate DAB radio, eg. 5 Live Sports Extra. Also, given the DAB, i don't really see the need for the FM / AM Tuner.

+ First thing is the sound, it's excellent. Go's as loud as you like with no distortion. It's laid out in a simple format and it's just black! USB and Ipod docs are essential in today's download world. Altogether it's a terrific machine for a terrific price.

- No obvious detracting features, but if I'm being picky, the remote is on the LARGE side. Could be smaller and sexier, like the machine itself.

+ I had read very good reviews about this micro system but was a little taken aback when i actually heard it for myself , very impressed with the quality of it. Overall a great little system.

- Ive not had it very long but as of yet i cannot fault it.

+ Compact. Full of features. Powerful clean sound. Radio aerial connections are particularly good. A lot of DAB aerial connections are very basic on other units, but this unit has got it all! A very comprehensive instruction booklet although it covers most of the UN language list. It has completely replaced my now elderly but high quality Hi Fi. The only addition I have made, is my Nakamichi cassette deck, to allow my extensive collection of tapes to be played. How i wish this product had been on the market years ago. I have been searching for a unit like this for a very long time. well done Denon!

+ Easy to set up, DAB with supplied aerial gives 90%+ signal even in our very bad signal area. Not noticed any difference replacing a Sony multi CD player, Genus DAB tuner & old simple NAD amplifier with the one box. Old Wharfedale speakers driven well. Works well using USB memory sticks with selections of CDs on each. Very pleased especially as I can now play all music from USB at home and in the car.

+ I have not used all the functions which are available but I am very impressed with the clarity and range of the sound produced by the DAB RADIO.
The remote control is easy to use for all functions.

+ Solid, compact design, punches above its weight. Sound quality is amazing, although I bought separate speakers (Mordaunt Short 902i's). I haven't heard the speakers that 'come with it', but compared the MS with a pair of Q 1010i's - the MS were clearly ahead. I just love the quality of the DAB radio - my living room is full of rich, detailed sound emanating from a small box on the bookshelf. A fantastic choice for someone on a budget or who doesn't have room for a separates system.
