Dell Inspiron 1525 T3400 Reviews: Windows Vista Home Basic 15.4" Screen Laptop computer

+ It's fast, especially on the internet and start up.

- Doesn't come with Microsoft Office. Nearly all computers used to come with this and for most people it's a necessity. Computer companies should include this and incorporate it into the price.

+ It's light weight and well constructed - the keypad on some designs is poor - not the case on this model. The keys are easily accessible and not raised too much, making typing documents easier. It takes camera memory cards, making it easy to upload your pictures. The 4 USB ports allow several devices to be connected at one time. The software package you get with the laptop is a good deal as some laptops don't offer Microsoft office in the package. The portability of it is nice - the wieght is comfortable in a strap bag and does not cause discomfort weather cycling with it, walking or getting the bus. The LCD screen is a good size for the price.

- It did not come with a web camera - not essential, but a nice built in extra. The battery life drains much quicker if you decide to run a dvd or music disk in the DVD drive. The graphics card is nice, but not capable of running higher end games. The instruction manual on how to connect the power cable to the plug cable was also not clear - it took a little bit of guess work the 1st time to do it. As so many disks are converting to blue ray it would have been nice to see a laptop that offerred a blue ray drive option for a reasonable price. As the dvd drive is built in it requires taking the whole unit it to get repaired if the DVD drive ever malfunctions, rather that simply taking the DVD drive out and buying a replacement.

+ Dell's are very good laptops and are great for surfing the web etc.

- The mouse pad is not very sensitive even on the most sensitive setting, I quite often have to click more than once.

- the battery life isnt gd bt i do use the internet n music n stuff all @ the smae time n i dnt mind having it in chage while im useing it

+ It's really good value for money considering what's in it (i.e. Pentium processors). It's pretty much everything I need in a laptop. The internet connection has been very good fand there have been no issues with performance.

- The battery only lasts about 2 hours realistically, and it's not quite as fast with loading times as I was expecting for the specs.

+ this laptop is good value for money, it has a big screen, is easy to use and looks attractive. It has been admired by a couple of colleagues who asked where it was from and remarked that it was great value for such a good product

- it is a bit heavy and the matt casing shows fingermarks!

- Mains connection wire tends to slide out too easily,so make sure you keep your battery inside at all times.

+ Battery life is ok - about 3 hours, on low power consumption mode. The performance is ok, once Vista is wiped off and replaced with XP

wiped off semi-frequently

- I cant say anything bad about it. It really looks the part as well as being an excellent laptop. Keyboard very easy to type with.

- The mouse pad is sometimes temperamental. I think that bluetooth should be in with package and not separate. Most modern media connects in this manner so why not incorporate it?
