Dell D600 1GB Ram 60GB HDD Reviews: Laptop computer

+ good design.

- battery dont last long.

+ Its light weight and compact, its perfect when i am visiting friends, especially on the journey by train.

- Only has a 2 hour battery life and thake hours to charge

+ it was a great deal works great very happy with the laptop best buy i have made this year

- shoud have stated it needed a wireless card

+ I ordered a D600 and got it upgraded to a D610 at no extra cost (the D600s were out of stock). Lightweight laptop, easily transportable yet powerful enough. Installing Ubuntu Linux on it was a breeze. Far better value for money than a new netbook! OpenOffice pre-installed on Windows was a nice touch.

- Battery was and is essentially dead (can't charge to any more than 20% of its full capacity: lasts about 25 minutes after fully charging it). Didn't come with install discs for Nero, so lost that when I repartitioned for the Windows/Linux dual boot.

- Rubber anti-scratch feet fall off.

+ hi spec for price we paid was clean and tidy for a refurbished machine wifi and cd rw very usefull

- some buttons stick occasionally apart from that i am completly happy with my laptop

+ Delivery time on the laptop was good. Its working great at the moment only had it 1 month. With the free carry case that came with it its well worth the money spent on it

- battery life is only 2hours depending on what your doing

+ my wifes first laptop she gets on very well with it very capable and she likes the chance of being able to increase ram very cheaply

+ Portable universe upgraded my laptop because they couldn't get my lap top in stock

- They charged me for next day delivery being £9.50 and didn't arrive till at least a week later and then i had to send it back as it didn't have the correct memory on it, overall customer services was very poor

+ Excellent value for money. Bought for mainly internet/chat and have quick and easy connection.After only three days my teenage daughter was heard to say 'I counldn't live without my laptop!' So a good buy all round.

- As it's a factory refurb, you expect alittle wear. The one enter key has a tendancy to stick sometimes but it's not a real problem.
