+ Sound quality was surprisingly good and the size and convenience good too

- Instructions are minimal. The multi-function side switch is a clever idea but it is easy to select the wrong function

+ Compact, light, direct connection to USB ports (no cable needed), fantastic battery life from a single off-the-shelf AAA. Creative pedigree.

- No 'lock' function to stop accidental button presses. Neck strap is white and this gets dirty quickly.

Recorded voice quality is a little poor but adequate.

- I spent alot of time downloading music onto the player and only one song could be heard. I used the help no from creative and they give me a download to try which caused a few problems to my hard drive. The player then crashed and i had to return for a new one.
