Excellent results of extremely good quality .Very versatile ,with many best shot alternatives which avoid manually having to make the various settings for those special photos. Can therefore be used a "point and press" on most occasions ,but having the capability of greater sophistication if required.
A really good sized screen with a bright image.
With 8 mega pixels it produces superb quality A3+ (13" x 19")prints.
- If you really want to know how to use the camera to it's full potential ,you have to print out the user guide(or read on the computer screen) .It has 278 pages. Well written and indexed but takes time to read ,study and remember. My advice would be to just play about with the camera first, and then read the bits you're not sure about after.

Score 8.0/10+ Quick to turn on and take picture, fairly easy to use, looks smart, docking station is good.
- Lots of settings. Picture quality can be tempremetal - I don't like adjusting settings all day. Sometimes focuses incorrectly and pixalated.

Score 9.0/10+ Big screen, clear even in sunlight. So the bad view finder is not a problem.
- Tiny view finder. Need to use cradle to connect to PC and charge. However when charged lasted for almost 2 full weeks of constant use.

Very easy to use and "best shot " option really does do exactly what it says.
Very good battery life . Good shutter speeds. Colours well defined and outside shots particularly good. Not yet sure about flash as haven`t taken many yet but think this will need more attention to getting best shot.
- Small memory so an additional card is a must but I expect you knew that anyway.

Score 8.0/10+ Small, Light, Fast transfer to SD Card, Fairly easy to use straight out of the box. Great battery life.
- Not brilliant flash results but I expected this.

Score 9.0/10+ Very quick to turn on when required for those "emergency situation photos". Picture quality superb!

I can only fault one issue which would be a let down - it requires the docking station to download photos. Two problems with this: takes up more space than anticipated.
If you've left the docking station at home and you urgently need to download photos - you'd have to try and find someone who has a card reader. You might find out after searching around for a card reader that no one has one.. Do I need to say more.

Expert reviews for Casio Exilim EX-Z850
TechRadar expert review
This likeable snapper makes up for design that could be termed 'dull' with good performance and useful extras at a keen price. An 8.1Mp sensor and 3x optical zoom for ¬£270 is not much to shout about these days, so Casio's tried to make the Exilim stand out by a stack of extra features, like antishake technology. At the same time, the Exilim is very easy to use. As you move the mode dial, you're told exactly what option you've selected, which will be a big help to beginners. What's more, the bright, well laid out screen and sensibly placed navigation buttons make it a cinch to change…
