Good points:: Replaceable batteries that can be purchased anywhere. Easy to use and convenient size without being too fiddly to operate. I like still having a viewfinder.
Bad points:: Very poor at coping with bright light and shadows in the same picture on auto setting. Delay in taking shot, even if not bad for a digital camera, photos prone to blurring if image moving.

Good points:: Amazing for the price, works well as a point and shoot camera but also has lots of manual control functions for taking more advanced shots. The camera is compact and lightweight too, so it can easily be taken wherever you go so you dont have to miss out on the perfect picture.
Bad points:: On the basic point and shoot mode the shutter speed is a little slow and the image can blur, but this can be remedies by using the bestshot functions or the manual shutter speed settings.

Bad points:: battery power does not last long. if i had known this prior to purcahsing, we would have opted for a chargeable camera rather than one that runs on batteries.

There are 2 main types of camera: The SLR and the Compact. SLR stands for Single Lens Reflex. SLR cameras use a prism to reflect the exact image as seen through the lens and so offers a more accurate viewfinder. SLR cameras have detachable lenses offering greater flexibility if you wish to take a variety of different photographs. Compact cameras have a built in lens and an ‘above lens’ viewfinder which is less accurate but they are often cheaper, more sleekly designed and easier to carry anywhere with you to capture that moment perfectly without having to fiddle with complex settings or a bag full of lenses.
