+ pocket size ,everything most super compacts have , and much much more.
- HD,playback on camera shows stunning clarity, colour, and smooth continuity. However, when transterred to PC, lag and jump become apparent.

+ Very neat camera, with well laid out controls, especially the separate buttons for Still and Video. The High Speed feature is amazing; I have yet to explore all the other sophisticated options, but the camera is loaded with many features usually only found on a camera far larger.

The charging arrangement is astonishing. The only way to recharge the battery is by taking it out, and placing it in the (provided) battery charger. There is no cradle or external power lead. Strong fingers and suitable-length finger nails are required to remove the battery. I am doubtful if the plastic retaining latch will survive years of activation for this most fundamental chore - recharging the camera. If purchasing this camera, it would be advisable to also buy a 2nd battery so the camera can be used (downloading photos for instance) while its battery is out and charging.
The USB socket is hidden behind a fiddly plastic cover on the right hand side which always gets in the way when you try to plug in the lead. This is a very 2nd-rate design feature which does not match the otherwise superb quality of the camera.

+ Excellent Slow Motion Video Recording
- Needs good light for Slow Motion Video
purchased 08 Oct 2009
+ great pictures and easy to use movie
- not a bad point really - you just need to know the settings for each type of shot BEFORE you go to use it otherwise it will be too dark / too light. Not a fault of the camera but alot to remember for the user
