- Good points:

The main good-point must be the use of 10 pigment inks, with the automatic change from matt black to glossy taking the next place.
- Bad points:
-
I must agree with others that say it's slow but look at the size of picture file that you can input !
Again, the 9500 took a lot of getting into, and I'm still not up to speed with it yet, but when I am, just you watch out !
Find ing ALL the packing pieces was quite worrying with one tiny little silica-gel pack not revealing its presence at the left-hand end of the printhead track until it had ruined prints on two sheets of A3+ Oyster !!!!!!!!!!!

I am really un-impressed with the print quality. I am beginning to think there must be something wrong with it.

Professional printing up to A3+ & 14" wide prints
The PIXMA Pro9500 Mark II allows you to produce saleable prints in sizes from 10×15cm up to A3+ and 14” wide media – perfect for exhibiting.
Media Freedom and stunning glossy prints
The PIXMA Pro9500 Mark II allows you to print your images on gloss media with no ‘Bronzing’ or ‘Gloss differential’. Choose from a range of Canon Gloss, Matte, and Fine Art media. Alternatively, select from a number of supported third party medias from Hahnemuhle, Crane, Somerset, Moab, Innova, Arches, Canson & Pictorico and more. Print on to media up to 1.2mm thick thanks to the flat paper path.
10 single Lucia pigment inks
Sell your prints with confidence thanks to Canon’s fade resistant Lucia pigment inks. The extra Red & Green cartridges expand the printer’s colour gamut, while the Photo & Matte black inks are both installed at the same time: no more swapping cartridges for different paper types.
Superb colour control and striking monochrome prints
The neutral grey and metameric properties of Canon’s Lucia inks means that neutral, smooth & high contrast mono prints are easily achieved – even when there are elements of both colour and monochrome in the image.
FINE print quality and 16 bits per channel
Canon’s FINE Print head is made by a full-photolithography process, not bonded, which enables accurate placement and control of each individual drop of ink and a high resolution of 4800×2400 dpi. The result is highly detailed, grain-free prints. 16bits per channel printing creates smoother tonal gradations in colour and monochrome and enables you to make the most of your 16bit images.
Adobe PS Elements and Easy-PhotoPrint Pro Plug-in included
For efficient photo editing, Adobe Photoshop Elements is included along with Canon Easy-PhotoPrint Pro Plug-In, for Photoshop or Digital Photo Professional, which allows you to layout multiple images and adjust the print settings all from one screen.
Ambient Light Correction
The Ambient Light Correction feature* automatically corrects the print colour tones for accurate colour rendition in the lighting conditions under which it will be displayed.

Score 10.0/10Print quality is excellent on fine art papers. (I do not use it on any other type of papers).
I have used the Canon profiles supplied with printer for the Canon PhotoRag paper on Hahnemuhle Photo Rag paper with excellent results.
I have produced more than 50 A3 prints and 20 A4 prints for portfolio, exhibitionin and sales in 2-3 weeks after receiving the printer and found it to be exclellent.
I use the front loading paper feed and never had a mis-feed.
The forced 35mm margin on fine art paper is a bit frustrating at times on A3 but is rediculous on A4. For A4 I use Hahnemuhle profiles and Matte Photo Setting thereby eliminateing the 35mm border restriction.
When doing a lot of prints on heavy paper it gets a bit tiresome waiting for the printer to get ready to feed ppaper in through the front tray.
Ink level indicator are not very accurate. With a low warning on 2 inks I still managed to obtain several large prints before I needed to change th cartridge. So if you are not careful you could be changing cartridges much too soon.
