Canon Pixma iP4600 Reviews: Canon Photos Colour Inkjet Printer

+ A tried and tested series of printers-good quality/value for money

- Ink cartridges are not readily available in high street stores for this new series printer

+ It does all that I require and does it well.

+ Excellent print quality, very good speed compared to other printers I have owned, Epson.

- Needs to be put on a secure base as it tends to vibrate in operation

+ Excellent photo printer and a document printer. Documents can be printed at a very fast rate for a little degredation in clarity. A good all-round printer.
Cartridge replacement system is brilliant. Big improvement on my previous (Epson) printer

+ Love the Canon IP4600, it does everything I ask it to do. Easy set up, looks stylish, and a lot smaller than my previous printer. Various paper and card compatability, and lots of different paper/envelope sizes, perfect for my line of work. Love the online manual that comes with the printer to help if you need it, and have hardly touched the inks that came with it, and yes it has been worked hard! Love it, highly reccommended!

+ My second Canon printer ( the first died) and very good value for money it is too. Lovely quality at this level, and it is innoffensive to the eye at my pc station

- Installing the software then initialising took way too long.

+ Prints very good quality photos. Good software with the printer to provide different editing options when printing. Smart printer. Good idea to have a seperate feed tray for plain paper and photo paper.

- Very slow to warm up when turned on. Also takes a while to start printing the photos; but when it is printing, it is quite fast. The plain paper tray sticks out so has to be taken out if storing it away.

- changing the ink can be a little tricky

+ Compared to previous printers the Cannon appears to be well made using good quality materials and designed with durability in mind. Not the flimsy lash up that typifies so many other domestic printers.

+ I have found the ip 4600 a very good home printer the quality of photo and other printing is excellent although I have not had any other experiences of other printer as this is my first, I am so far very happy with it.

Easy to set-up and install and an all round fantastic piece of kit. Can't belive it's under £100 as it is far superior to it's peers and with the duplex facility and individual photo paper feeder, you would expect to pay at least double! Plus, I just love the gloss black and silver - stylish too!

Terrible manual

+ Very fast, high quality prints. nice having feed trays one for photo paper and one for normal.

- Have had some trouble with colour balance, too much red in my photos, but I think that is more me just getting it set up and calabrating my monitor properly
