Good points:: Really compact, and a 12x optical zoom - many cameras have one or the other, this has both. Plenty auto-configured settings, and a programmable mode as well.
Bad points:: Touch-focus struggles a bit; the wi-fi is a bit "something and nothing" - you can only connect to a small range of devices that have the Canon app/application installed.

Good points:: The pictures look great, the screen is massive and it's pretty compact.
Bad points:: The touch screen - it's not responsive enough or particularly intuitive. Just turning on the flash is more complicated than it needs to be. I'd much rather have a single button. The same for navigating pictures - it doesn't always detect when you've hit left or right, making it much more of a pain. And I often zoom in by mistake rather than scroll.

The battery life is pretty bad. I bought a spare battery and both ran out over a weekend. Probably because of the giant, stupid touch screen.

It's quite fat depth wise. I previously had the 220 HS which felt less obtrusive in my pocket.
