Good points:: It's got a load of features that are a doddle to use thanks to the intuitive menus and scroll wheel.
The full auto is spot on every time, but I tend to use the manual modes mostly, all of that and the leather case from Canon is only a fiver...
Video qaulity and low light performance is great.
I bought this to go along with my SLRs but haven't used them since!
Bad points:: Slightly dim witted auto focus next to an slr, but then what would you expect?
That is the only niggle I've had with it in two holidays and several nights out...

SLR cameras use a prism to reflect the exact image as seen through the lens and so offers a more accurate viewfinder.
