Good points:: optical quality, lightweight, fast focus. A very very good lens for BIF unbelievable for the price. some 100-400 may be almost as good on APS-C if you get a good one, but on a FF (EOS 5 D III) the prime is obviously much better.
Bad points:: no IS, need a lot of light for high speed and low iso, rather long minimal focus distance( 3,5M) but still usable for proxy photos. no seal ring. You will forget this min points when you see the sharpness and overall quality of your photos.

Good points:: Excellent for moving subjects, in my case wildlife. But only in good light(sunlight). For moving subjects it outshines my Canon EOS500 F4 L series because it is so light and so much easier to track the subject matter.
Bad points:: Lacks image stabilisation and needs bright light due to F5.6. To get pin sharp images on still photography would need tripod or very steady hand!
