+ Image quality, you'll want to invest in L-series lenses!

- Build quality around battery compartment, the battery door does not quite sit correctly. This leaves a small edge that can catch or feel uncomfortable on your hand, disappionting, but not enough for me to send it back, could just be my model.

+ The Image quality is astounding ... I'de say equliivant to medium format models of jsut few years ago at a quarter of the price.

- I can not think of a single negative things to say about this camera. Oh I can ... the supporting software is poor glad I don't have to use it much.

More fps, handles noise better than the 400D

- The expense. The new Raw format not compatible with Photoshop CS3 - takes longer to process images.

+ This is a simply stunning camera.
Image quality is about as good as you can currently get.
The menu system is far more intuitive than on the 5d mark 1, which makes this a very straightforward camera to use.
Having several programmable Custom Settings means that I can employ exposure bracketing or mirror lockup at the turn of a dial. No more trawling through submenus. I would have considered this camera even without the HD video, but this is a very welcome additional feature. The lens is of exceptional quality although a little slow.

- A faster lens would have been nice, although the IS helps to some extent

Great high ISO performance.
Live view makes for extremely accurate focusing (I take a lot of landscapes).
Great info screen.
Controls easy to use and very intuitive.

- The screen marks easily. I cannot get my 18-55mm lens from my 450d to fit it. Please advise.
