Score 9.0/10+ Very simple to use, features adequate for my use as a very amateur photographer. Easy access to features. Love my camera look forward to learn as much as I can about all the features.
- Very disappointed with lense, in hindsight would have just bought the body and then purchaesed a good lense seperately, 70-300 for example. The viewer is rather small should have gone that little extra and bought the 400.

Score 10.0/10+ Great if you already have a Canon SLR and want to convert to digital
- now superseeded by a newer model

Score 9.0/10+ excellent performance generally, image quality very high, many good features and versatility, as small and light as could reasonably be expected. Battery life is amazing and spare batteries cheap.
- Finish a little cheap, quality of plastic poor, with a tendency to scratch easily, also dust on sensor from new! Controls a little too compact and can be fiddly, especially with large fingers. Kit lens is not the best and does limit the performance of the camera. The grip is not as good as it could be, it is a bit small and smooth and makes the camera easy to drop in some situations, especially with a larger lens. Default settings did not give the best image; it took some time and experience to get the results I expected.

Score 9.0/10+ Compact, light and yet with all the features of a much bigger camera
- Only had it a couple of months, but cant find any yet.

Score 9.0/10+ Excellent easy to use quality digital SLR with interchangeable lens capability
- Rather small body - I prefer the 300D for size but the 350D has improved features - can't win them all I suppose!

Score 9.0/10+ The image quality is supurb and with the different modes you can experiment and improve your technique and results.
- For people with large hands it can be a little awkward to hold but with the Battery Grip added it's brilliant.

Score 10.0/10+ The Canon 350D is a superb camera offering excellent photographs. The clarity is beyond any other camera I have found for the price, it is also very easy to use in full auto mode but can be set up to be used by a more expeienced photograher.

Score 9.0/10+ Fully specified D SLR, compitible with Canon lenses, flash guns etc. Instant on - no descernible shutter lag. Best spec. for the money at this time.
-
Week points (not bad points really) are:
LCD is small
Viewfinder is small
Max flsh sync is 250 (though HS sync works with Canon flash guns)
no PC-sync - Canon claerly expect you to use their (expencive) wirless system for multiple flash.
It's got 'Canon' printed on it so all your accessories cost more than they would with a non-Canon/Nikon.

Score 9.0/10+ Very quick start up. The most frequently used features eg. ISO setting, metering and white balance have short cut button so that you don't have to scroll through the menu to change them. Good ergonomics - it fits nicely in the hand. Simple to use - it can be used straight out of the box. Battery life is excellent.
- Haven't found any yet. It is bulky but that is to be expected with an SLR.

Score 10.0/10+ Professional pictures even when enlarged to huge sizes. Prints are fantastic. Features easy to understand. Download is easy and very sensible.
- Battery life could be better.

Score 9.0/10+ easy to use lightweight camera with good quality images
- with lots of digital slr type camera's on the market price could be better

Score 9.0/10+ Image quality is excellent, even set on high ISO the noise is very low. Lighweight easy to use and good value for money
- The LCD screen could have been bigger but the 400D covers that

Expert reviews for Canon EOS 350
TechRadar expert review
Upping the ante from the original EOS 300D, the newer 350D ushers in a 8Mp CMOS sensor, along with Canon's excellent DIGIC II image processing engine. The 350D is also smaller than the 300D, which is a mixed blessing as it can feel a little cramped for larger handed photographers.Metering performance was extremely consistent in our tests, throughout a wide range of shooting conditions and the seven-point autofocus system was excellent. Another plus point for the combination of the 350D's CMOS sensor (the only camera in the group to have this rather than a CCD), along with DIGIC II, was…

Quality
The EOS 350D Digital employs Canon’s acclaimed CMOS technology, for outstanding image quality and 8.0 Megapixel resolution. Always be primed for the next shot with responsive 3 frame per second, 14 frame burst performance and instant 0.2 second start up time. Powerful DIGIC II architecture taken from Canon’s pro-series cameras ensures no compromise on sophisticated, effective and super-fast image processing.
Focus
7 auto focus points are distributed across the frame for fast, accurate focusing, even with off-centre subjects. Lock focus before the shot with One Shot AF, or switch to AI Servo AF for predictive tracking of moving subjects – great for wildlife and sports photography.
Perfect light
The powerful pop-up flash (guide no. 13) offers plenty of lighting flexibility. E-TTL II distance-linked flash reads lens distance information and ambient light for accurate flash metering: perfect for recomposed shots and difficult reflections. The camera is compatible with the entire EX Speedlite flash range, including the Speedlite 580EX, which transmits colour temperature information for improved colour stability.
Lenses
The EOS 350D Digital is compatible with more than 60 Canon EF lenses, including Canon’s EF-S lenses. Built with the EOS 350D Digital photographer in mind, the EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM and EF-S 17-85mm f/4-5.6 IS USM cover an exciting range of popular focal lengths, while the EF-S 60mm f/2.8mm Macro USM lens lends a new dimension to the world of insects and plants.
Ultimate flexibility
Before shooting, choose to optimise JPEG images either for direct printing or post processing. For ultimate flexibility, JPEG and RAW images write simultaneously. Canon’s Digital Photo Professional RAW image processing software gives you post-shoot control over valuable RAW images.
Connectivity
A USB 2.0 Hi-Speed interface ensures rapid image uploads and fast direct printing. Once connected direct to any PictBridge compatible printer, simply hit the ‘Direct Print’ button for an instant print of the displayed image; automatically sized and correctly aligned. The EOS 350D Digital takes both CF and CF-II cards, including cards of over 2GB capacity.
Online sharing
Membership is included to Canon’s CANON iMAGE GATEWAY, with 100 Mb of online space for album storing and sharing. Upload images and direct your friends and family to secure online ‘albums’.
