Maureen, Dover , “Point & shoot”
Score 9.0/10+ It's small enough to put in pocket, looks good, seems easy to use from a technophobe's point of view and gives great images.
- None yet but I mainly take my photos on holiday and not been yet.

Dereek, Gristhorpe, Filey , “Point & shoot”
Score 9.0/10+ Excellent overall quality and performance with a camera that is small and easily carried
- The rotary selection wheel is erratic and not easy to control to rapildy select new scene modes. Too much finger pressure and the wrong scene is selected - but maybe I have fingers like suasages at my age.

Alex, Glasgow , “Point & shoot”
Score 9.0/10+ Screen nice and large, good quality photos, different modes are good. Easy to use.
-
Took me a day or two to find out how to use all the features as the instruction manual is only avail. on a disc, not in paper form.
Not the smallest of cameras(though not large) - just not the best pick if you want something particularly light and compact.

Score 9.0/10+ Small but with big picture screen. easy use buttons. lightweight. all round very good.

Mike, Leiston , “Point & shoot”
Score 9.0/10+ The digital macro feature, great for close ups of insects, flowers etc. And the time lapse recoring feature. Superb photos.
- None about the camera. But it is annoying that the manual is only on CD. With so many features it's difficult to remember everything. And a computer is not always available! Yje beach or a party for instance.
purchased 24 Apr 2009
Anonymous verified purchaser , “Point & shoot”
Score 9.0/10+ I love the timelapse video option - great for making Benny Hill style videos!! Nice and easy to use and the buttons/wheel design works really well.
- Only that it isn't as fast as my Ixus 75 (which I lost). I guess that's down to the difference in megapixals. Still pretty darn quick though!!

David, Northwich , “Point & shoot”
Score 10.0/10+ Large view screen,

However, lurking beneath the somewhat uninspiring but tough aluminium shell of the new Ixus is some serious technology. From front to back, this includes everything from Canon's tried and trusted IS optical image stabilising system to a sharp and clear three-inch LCD, which offers accurate contrast…

3x optical Image Stabilizer lens
Advanced UA (Ultra-High Refractive Index Aspherical) lens technology from Canon fits a powerful 3x optical zoom lens into the compact form of the Digital IXUS 90 IS. An optical Image Stabilizer (IS), helps you capture blur-free images in low-light and when shooting with the zoom.
3.0" PureColor LCD II
A huge high resolution 3.0” PureColor LCD II offers stunning reproduction of images and ease of shooting. An exceptionally wide viewing angle makes it easy to share your images with a group, while impressive colour contrast keeps the screen visible even in intense light.
Motion Detection Technology
There’s no need to worry about blur with Motion Detection Technology. This clever feature compensates for camera shake and subject movement while maximising image quality.
Face Detection Technology
Face Detection Technology ensures superb people shots by automatically setting optimum focus, exposure, flash and white balance. Face Select and Track lets you choose and track your primary subject, so you never lose a special face in the crowd.
Red-Eye Correction
Red-Eye Correction quickly and easily removes red-eye in camera. It can be set to remove red-eye automatically as you shoot, or during playback mode, making eyes look natural again.
DIGIC III and iSAPS
Canon’s DIGIC III processor provides lightning quick responses, superb image quality and advanced noise reduction for sharper, clearer images. iSAPS technology uses shooting scene data to optimise camera settings even before a shot is taken.
Shooting Modes and My Colors
19 shooting modes include Sunset, Indoor and Underwater Special Scene modes which optimise camera settings for the easy capture of popular subjects. My Colors in-camera photo effects can be applied during or after shooting.
Movie Options
Movie modes include Long Play (LP) for VGA (30fps) clips that use half the normal memory card space. Capture a gradual scene like a sunrise or blooming flowers for accelerated playback with Time Lapse movie.
