- Good points:
- Focusing is quick and accurate. Results are sharp; the image stabilisation enables hand holding at quite low speeds. Well balanced on the tripod socket with a 7D.
- Bad points:
- Weighs a ton (having been used in film days to an OM2 with 300mm lens) and therefore a chore to carry, eg on a long walk.

Richard, Cardiff obsessed with wildlife photography
- Good points:
- A relatively lightweight prime focus lens ideally suited to wildlife photography. The lack of a zoom facility is well compensated by it's quality of image on my 60D. Wish I had bought Canon lenses sooner as the quality is worth the extra price.
