+ ease of cleaning, stylish and controlable.

- the ovens are taking a long time to get to temprature ( mainly the top oven )

- The little diagrams that show which gas burner relates to which knob on the front of the cooker have been put directly underneath the knobs themselves making them difficult to see without bending down. Takes a long time for the main oven to get up to temperature.

- When you are using the oven, the light stays on all the time you are cooking. Whilst I understand that this means you can view what you are cooking withot opening the door, it is a little disconcerting to have a light on all the time, and I am not sure how much energy this wastes. I think the previous design was better where you had an inner door, and you only had to open the outer door for a light to come on and enable you to view what was cooking without opening that inner door.

+ The top oven and grill is a very handy addition and it is easy to use and clean.

- The pan supports on the hob rattle quite easily.

+ Excellent value for money, great with the two ovens - I'm very pleased with my purchase. The grill pan doesn't actually store in the grill area - but its easy enough to pop it in the bottom oven.

- Grill pan designed by a moron fortunately I saved my easy to use instant clipon grill pan from my defunct cooker and it fits perfectly. The awfull silver colour plastic on knobs and handles. No LOWsimmer burner

+ Looks Excellent, easy to clean and all very easy to use. Automatic ignition on hobs and both ovens works great. Hob and Grill work well and are powerfull enough. Auto timer great and easy to use. Light in both ovens when on makes it easy to see whats cooking. A great allround Cooker.

- Power of both ovens seems a bit down on previous very old (30 years) coooker. My wife notices that particularly in main oven things take longer to cook. Maybe that oven is much bigger than previous and we have not yet got fully used to using. This has not been a particular problem just need to allow a few extra minutes and food actually cooks better !

+ Having four pan supports makes for easier cleaning, although they are a bit "rattly". Also it is easier to clean the oven doors as they are removable - a big plus. The programmable ovens are great for timing your casseroles, etc. for coming home in the evening.

- Miss having a small simmer ring that is the only minus point.

Hob burners light immediatly and can heat things very quickly if you wnat them to.

- The grill : To adjust the distence from the grill to the grill tray you have to take out the tray, take out the wire shelf, move the shelf to the height you think you want, put the grill tray back in... and repeat if you get it wrong. Why doesn't the grill tray run on the same supports as the wire shelf - a very incovenient piece of mis-design in my opinion.
Grill doesn't alway light immediately - which can lead to a strong smell of gas.
It is very easy to re-set the clock by brushing up agaist the buttons on the front of the cooker.
When you adjust the hob controls to a low heat they produce an annoying whistle.

- Minor niggle, due to the bevelled edge of the hob it doesnt provide a flush clean line from worktops to hob surface.

+ This is a great cooker with great variability of cooking temperatures. Some reviews say that the indicators for the knobs being under the knobs is annoyong, but it's easy to remember which is which so I don't find this a problem.

Although obviously they don't ignite - the noise is off putting

+ 60cm width allows so much more scope with the number of items that can be cooked together and the seperate oven is very useful. The grill is very good too. I like being able to see the items cooking without having to open the doors when ovens in use.

+ Easy to use - and to clean. I've had good results with cakes. I attempted a roast dinner for lots of people the day after I got it - and much to my relief, the meat cooked perfectly. Having a double oven is great for keeping one thing warm while cooking another.

+ The cooker looks stylish, it works well, easy to keep clean. My previous cooker was also a Cannon, I 'd had it almost 23 years and was still working when I bought this new one! I chnged it as I wanted silver to match the rst of my kitchen!

+ The two large rings are powerful, controls are easy to use even though you can not see which jet you are using it doesnt take long to work it out.

+ Efficient ovens, although bending down to remove dishes and pans must be done carefully. Top burners have very good simmer control. Auto ignition very good. Streamlined design which looks good in the kitchen. Easy to clean underneath.

- At the end of a pre-programmed cook time I don't think that a continuing audible signal is really necessary as there may be no-one in the house to hear it. Possibly an audible signal that finishes after say 4 tones and repeats every 15 minutes? The large oven door swings open very wide without control.

+ Easy to use timer on oven, reminder clock for when food is cooked, easy to clean compared to my old cooker and you can see the food cooking through the clear glass window! I could see when the yorkies were ready!

+ Almost identical replacement for Cannon cooker I had for 14 years. Pleased Cannon is still producing this classic. Excellent performance and design for family use.

- Only 2 shelves in main oven. 3 would be better

+ I consider my new Cannon Chesterfield to be well designed and easy to use with the added bonus of a self cleaning oven. The top one of the two ovens is also a grill. I really like the glass top which adds to the built-in look together with a safety system which turns off the hob flame if closed.

- Grill pan handle could do with being the type that folds over the pan when not in use as it is quite difficult to get the pan to sit far enough back in the top oven to close the door. The glass lid is thinner than the last Cannon model I purchased but I presume it is still toughened glass!

- Pan supports don't have location points hence when one pulls saucepan from back of hob, they move forward as well.
When one leans against the hob knobs to reach back saucepans, the electronic iginition goes off
I don't find that the top oven maintains temperature as well as the main oven because the fan is constantly in operation

+ Looks good. Cooks well - much faster than our previous cooker. Easy to clean - so far. Separate pan supports make cleaning easier.

- Grill handle, which is supposed to be removed during grilling is extremely awkward to use - a 2 handed job and difficult even then. Main oven shelves are very difficult to move in and out , especially when there is something on them. I could get a much lower simmer with my old cooker - porridge nearly boiled over this morning even though pan only half full. Disappointed that a small indentation appeared on top left edge after 2 days even though I was not aware of having knocked it with anything - wondering how durable the finish is. Position of knobs is not good - all at one side with diagram telling you which is which obscured below knobs - though I did know that before purchase.

- have had three canon cookers over the last twenty years. I preferred the frosted lid.also on my previous model the door handle and grill handle were moulded as part of the door I think it looked better this way.

+ I love this cooker I had a Cannon for over 20 years which was perfect but I moved and inheruted a Leisure cooker which was nice to look at but not reliable and it finally gave up so I reverted back to Cannon which I canonly speak well of and recommend highly it looks good and performs well

- Minor really the oven lights stay on the whole time they are in use in use and I wish there was still the eye level grill and storage drawer option.
