Candy GO482 reviews: Front Loading loading, 8kg capacity washing machine

+ I never thought I'd hear myself say this about a washing machine, but I love it !! Living in a one bedroom flat noise was a big factor to take into consideration, this is relatively quiet and very economical with the big drum. A couple of friends of mine have said they want one !!!

- The cycle times are a bit long, but I tend to stick it on when we go to bed so it's not really a problem.

+ Can't really say it has any, its just a boring old washing machine, and as long as it lasts, that's fine by me.

- So slow to complete a wash, even the quickest wash seems to take 90minutes.

+ Excellent all round - a really good sized drum and really clean washing, not too noisy and very good value for money!

- Powder tray hits door if both open - ie if you try to shut the door and you have the tray open still it hits it - bit of a design blip! but easy to get round!

+ A nice quiet machine at a great price. Loads of cycles to choose from, and excellent spinning gets clothes dryer than my old machine. The energy efficiency is of greater importance these days, and start delay function lets me fill it in the evening and wash in the middle of the night to use the lower cost electicity. Had it a month, and nothing to moan about as yet!

- None, other than it is confusing when you first work out the cycle lengths. The manual doesn't break them down for you, so it's a little trial and error at first, but I find the Mix and Match setting covers everything in a normal household, and is a shorter cycle which cleans brilliantly.

+ Very pleased with this machine, it is the first time I have bought a Candy and I am very impressed. The spin is fantastic and the clothes dry very quickly as a result of this.

- A little louder than my last machine, and cycle little longer - but this does not pose a problem

+ The huge drum is great also the faster spin speed means washing is already half dry when you take it out.
It is the best w-machine I've had, I bought it because of the reasonable price, it is fantastic value for money.

+ Only had the machine 6 weeks but it does what it says on the tin,Good range of cycles and washing times adjustable with the fast wash feature, large door opening is a benifit and its no louder on the 1400 spin than our old 1,000 spin machine, if it lasts as long and performs as well as the old machine its a belter, The old one was a Zanussi which never broke down but cost more than this 6 years ago,

Pleased with the low noise as the machine is in the kitchen, where we tend to eat our meals. Some programmes may be a little long but I do use the short wash programme.

- Only cold fill, as are most machines now, but as we have solid fuel c. heating we have constant supply of hot water.

- Do sometimes give the wash an extra 1400spin afterwards, especially if the wash was on a lower spin, helps get rid of excess water, not 2 much of bad point though asit quick.

+ The drum size is excellent and takes a great load. You can choose water saving options or not as level of soiling of clothes demands. Fast spin speed which you can change for more delicate items and still wash at a high temperature. Quite quiet. Excellent price for A+AA machine - excellent value for money.

- I would like a separate dial for temperature and wash type. e.g I would like a cotton wash at 50 degrees, or a delicates wash at 70 degrees - I cannot choose these options on this machine as the temperature for each programme is preset. If I want a hot wash on an item with a gentle wash cycle I would like to do this but with the majority of machines available you cannot do this, which is my only moan for a superb machine.

Simple to use, easy to understand programmes and choice of spin speed, everything I wanted it to be. My last Candy washing machine lasted 15 years without a single problem - which is why I went for the same brand - so far so good!

+ Excellent drum size - it holds a lot of washing. Good features and special programmes. Clothes come out really clean and almost dry as the 1400 spin speed is excellent.

+ The spin is very quiet and low vibration compared with others I have experienced. Drum is nice an big (fewer washing loads!). Pretty simple to use. Delay start timer and time-to-end indicator are basic but very useful on occasions (delay 3,6 or 9 hours, time-to-end indicator shows 15, 30, 60 or 90 minutes to go). Big, high door makes loading and unloading easy.

- Don't expect all the washing to fit in one tumble dryer load!

+ Replaced an old Candy washing machine which i was please with so decided to go for same brand. This is one of the best on the market, a huge drum and big door to load washing. Plenty of features including a quick 30 degree 32 minute wash, easy to use and simply operation. You can choose from a 1400 spin right down to 600 if you wish, and even the option for no spin. Time delay is a good feature and it was fitted and working in 10 minutes.

- One the high spins (1400) it can be quick shakey, mine is in the garage so dont really notice.

+ I am very happy with this machine. The large drum seems to have halved the number of loads per week (which i amazing considering I am washing for 3 teenage boys). The level of noise is barely audible compared to the hotpoint I had previously. I already have the Candy Tumble Dryer which also as a large drum so all in all I am saving considerable time and money. I would and have recommend these to friends. Prior to buying the candy dryer I had always bought hotpoint but would not go back to them now

+ Lovely big drum don't have to do so many washes the 1400 spin is very good the clothes come out quite dry. The time delay is also very useful especially if you are on Economy 7. I am just hoping that this machine will last as long as my previous Candy machines I have had just two in 28 years which I think is excellent and have never had to call a service engineer only got rid of my old one because it was obvious the bearings had gone - well don Candy!!

+ Best washing machine I have ever had. Am thrilled with it. Would agree with other reviews that it is noisy but I don't mind that as it covers up my neighbours noise! Drum size is brilliant as I home board dogs and have loads of towels, duvets and pet bedding to wash. Would recommend it to anyone.

- Cycle time is far too long and it would be nice to wash at a lower temperature, I would have liked to have a machine that would wash at 30 for half an hour I would even put half a load in to get that option.

+ Large door means that the clothes are not dragged through a small opening and nothing gets caught. Large drum cuts down on the number of washes per week. Time left indicator is useful and delay timer means i can take advantage of cheaper electricty prices at night.

- The spin speed lowers depending on which programme you use and cant be over-ridden which means mixed items come out damper.

+ Large drum which means more efficient on energy. fast wash cycle excellent and is about an hour long.
